Guess this can go here.
Long live Nick.

@tody forgive the pun, but i feel like this is a 'loaded' question.
I can't help but assume you're referring to a situation in which someone 'eliminates a threat', yet reloads and continues to fire into said threat long after it has expired. That is a heavily situationally-dependent and subjective scenario and would likely come down to the discretion of a jury.
Having said that, it seems that if one were to reload AFTER the threat has expired, then one would most likely be considered to have exceeded a reasonable measure of deadly force. Of course this is also subjective and would depend on the initiating threat level of the one being defended against, which would have to be assumed to also have presented a deadly threat. Of course at that point you could bring up the question: "How dead is too dead?"Sorry for the brain dump, feel free to tell me to shut it.

@WhiskeySandwich @goosehd I'll try to resolve it - I was trying to make a sarcastic comment on yesterday's political development in Germany. hence the first part of my post addressing the no politics rule, and thus the second part asking when desperate measures are still self defense. @Tago-Mago nudged in the same direction today in the music thread, but that went rather unnoticed.
Let's finish this here. I promise I won't turn on the evening news today. -
@tody AH, that went over my head completely. Yeah i dont watch 'the news', i could do a whole rant about that on its own..... but i'll save it because it would probably be more appropriate for the "unpopular opinions" thread. Sorry, i was unaware of any political developments in Germany, so my comments stand alone and don't reference that.
@goosehd sorry, just saw you had said something too. I hope my above-stated ignorance of the specific situation allows me some grace lol

@goosehd why do they make ketchup packets in such a small size? Like who only ever uses one of those?
-
@flannel-slut what would you need ketchup for in the first place?
-
@Tago-Mago ketchup?!? A must to mask the taste of my terrible fast food impulses
-
@flannel-slut the only acceptable condiments for chips are mayo or malt vinegar. I will accept that ketchup belongs on a burger and a hot dog, but that’s about it
-
@Tago-Mago said in Random Rants:
ketchup belongs on a hot dog
........I'm flagging this post as inflammatory speech and will let the other mods deal with you
-
I’ll dip my fry in a house made ranch or aioli but straight mayo w your fries is madness
-
-
@Tago-Mago bloody Germans and their sausages
-
@Tago-Mago malt vinegar is straight up olfactory offensive - gimme white all day. Plus, if there’s any left over I can clean my bathroom with it….
