Wax Treasure (Vinyl)

@endo I do. Obviously to help protect the record jacket but the biggest reason is being able to access the record itself a lot easier. I store it behind the record jacket so I don't have to fidget with opening the jacket at all. I have some really old records, and not needing to access the jacket so much helps ease the natural breakdown of the sleeve.
Anytime I want to enjoy the jacket, I just slide it out the record sleeve. Plus, I found it easier to slide in and out the shelf for some reason than the ones without a sleeve.

@endo I was going to chime in but @GraemeE 's answer is pretty much mine too. The only thing I'd add is that I get peace of mind from knowing I've done what I can to take care of something I value. I'm always so amazed when I get a 60s or 70s pressing (usually from Japan) that is in immaculate condition and I enjoy being part of that cycle.

inally got hold of one of my grails (1977 UK pressing)
I'm listening to it on Amazon Music. The "2004 remastered edition", which surely is such an anti-punk concept, it makes me giggle.

Same here with my older records

This thread is on fire!
I definitely use them @endo. They served me well over the decades. But antistatic inlays after a cleaning was a game changer for me @GraemeE.
At the bottom is my RSD pic of last year @J-IV. One of the ugliest covers you can find, but a beautiful record. Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret (Totally Remixed)
Will check out ZTT’s 40 years old

Propaganda - p:Machinery this year. -
@GraemeE there's a surprisingly good list of jazz titles getting released for RDS this year but I have my eye on the Lianna La Havas LP if I do make my way to the shop.
Speaking of Sun Ra - I tried to nab one of the Sam's Records' drop of the site crashed. It wasn't meant to be...@Aetas never heard of Propaganda until you shared it. Synth galore, and can easily be mistaken for something that was made today.
