Twill Work Jacket - Black
Inspired by the classic mechanic jackets of the 1950s and ‘60s, our vintage-style work jacket blends American and European tailoring techniques to create a retro aesthetic with a contemporary, fitted silhouette. Stylish yet functional, features include a 14 wale corduroy collar and cuff linings, a YKK zippered placket, button fastening cinches and action pleated sleeves for enhanced manoeuvrability.
New for SS25, this version is cut from 12oz Japanese chino cloth, woven using 100% organic cotton yarns. Environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced, organic cotton is farmed without synthetic pesticides or artificial fertilisers, resulting in longer, stronger cotton fibres. To produce this particular fabric, the yarns are dyed under the Japanese Kurashikizome
certification. This dyeing process is free from harmful chemicals and uses minimal resources, with all wastewater thoroughly purified before being returned to the ocean. The result is a lightweight, rugged fabric, ideal for the eco-conscious wearer.

Ah man, this jacket looks great but would look even better with a dark brown cord collar, in my opinion.
-
Stand out piece of the collection. This looked so cool in the video.

@Giles Don't get me wrong, still a great jacket! I didn't mean any criticism by my comment. Just a personal preference for me.

I saw Kersey version of this is releasing on Friday. Is there a date set for this one yet?
-
-
These should be here on our delivery next week, Release date will be posted as soon as they have been processed in, sent to retailers and shot, measured etc.
-
@Graham Fantastic, thank you!

The Kersey version was at the top of the list for me after the release video but I must admit this one is starting to take the top spot. I really like how stealth it is and, although I do love a good fade, the non fade is a nice feature.
I also noticed in the description in on the website it says the collar is charcoal. I guess that's a typo?

While I'm here, a quick question which I know you can't answer right now. When you have these in your hands, I would be very interested to know how slim the arms are. My favorite IH jacket which I have is the IHJ-61, and I wear it any time I can wear a T shirt because it's literally the best jacket. The only issue with that jacket it how slim it is, the arms are too snug to layer anything besides a T shirt under an I'm very interested to know if the arms on this one are a little wider.

The photo's definitely make it look navy, don't they. @AdamJ and @SamD can confirm when they get to work this morning

Once we announce a launch date (which means they are in hand) we will post who wears what, and and that point if you nudge us, we can post various pics for you to assess

@Alex Can't wait!

@BalticBob Thanks for flagging this. We’ve taken another look at the collar and compared it to a few other fabrics. It’s tricky to describe accurately, as it appears more purple than our conventional navy corduroy (see screenshots below). However, we agree that "charcoal" is probably not the most accurate description, so we’ll update the specs accordingly. The photos on the site are accurate, but please note that this is one of those fabrics where the hue can look very different if viewed on a non-color-balanced screen—it looks super purple on my iPhone! Hope that's helpful

It's really cool, I like that you can't actually nail the colour down. I am a huge fan of corduroy collars. I'm going to need to get ready when you release this so I don't miss it!
