IHJ-142-IND - 21oz Serge Windbreaker - Indigo
-
@flannel-slut hahaha, when my wife asks me a question that could result in me saying "yep," I often say it in his voice, yePP!.

@Oaktavia
x2
-
@flannel-slut Thanks dude! I love this indigo serge. How’s your windbreaker coming along?
-
@jordanscollected looking forward to seeing your photos. This jacket is so sweet. Can hardly to see some more indigo serge fades.
-
I'm regretting not getting the indigo version...although I love the black too. Looking back I could've sized down as well. I currently wear 3XL workshirts - UHF and otherwise. Thus settled for similar here. Obviously the shoulder measurements on these sorts of pieces are tough to navigate. But I could certainly wear a 2XL as the upper chest and shoulders are a bit large on me.
However I often wear the windbreaker with several layers, thus I have no real issue with it. I also plan to give it a soak at some point, potentially followed by a hot dry, which will likely tighten it up a little.
-
@Alex_24 likewise man. Love how thick and soft this serge is. We’ve had a lot of snow this past month and have made sure to wear on every shovel outing to help it along.
Not much going on but suppose enough to share an evo update pic:
-
@flannel-slut imagine that thing in 5 years
. Gotta admit I’m pretty envious of you guys that snagged one.
-
@MTpockets I'm an XL in IH shirts and i bought this in a large. I imagine from all the conversations on here I could have worn a medium, but I wasn't risking it. Carhartt t-shirts are the only thing that fit me in a medium.
Leaving room for layering, hot soaks or washing is crucial too.
The other thing is that I'm trending towards roomier pants. I don't want my tops to fit too neat or I'll look off. then i won't need the baton at all.
-
Sounds like you’ve locked in THE baton fit. FYI pockets are large enough in case you need to carry 2
-
@SKT This thing caught my eye for multiple reasons. One of the biggest is that I don't think I've seen anything similar from another company. Who else makes a windbreaker in something other than nylon? It's sickness with the quickness and I'll be creating ways to wear it, hopefully without getting literal farm crap all over it.
-
@flannel-slut The "Iron Heart Baton" made out of the same material as those save the ocean insulated cups. how great of a product that would be.
-
@jordanscollected - all great points.
I also have an N1, which is an XXL, and fits like a glove. But I sided with your thoughts on the windbreaker regarding layering and soaks/washing. If you're anything like me, these are the things that keep me up at night. Vanity? I think not.
I am also starting to trend toward roomier pants. In my early IH days (early being 5 years ago), I was locked into 777. But I'm 888 now all day, every day.
-
@jordanscollected haha “what do you think we should make” +1
-
@jordanscollected I’m excited for you. It’s truly unique and is gonna age beautifully
-
@flannel-slut Looks great! Creases set in nicely
Snow shoveling is an excellent break-in activity
-
@MTpockets thanks dude! Yea, the mustard hoodie is one of my favorites. It gets a lot of wear.
Regarding your post on sizing, I agree one could size down on this for a more fitted style, but the sleeve length then becomes an issue as, from my experience, windbreaker cut always has slightly shorter sleeves. So I’m glad I went with my normal size in this.
-
@jordanscollected and @flannel-slut
I was trying to figure out what you all were talking about with regard to the "baton" and the "baton fit" - am I correct in assuming this is an implement designed to beat off the chicks that dig our IH fits?
-
@MTpockets %100 this man. @jordanscollected mentioned it yesterday on the WAYWT and couldnt hide my enthusiasm in the silliness of it
-
@MTpockets I had zero idea what was going on either...
