Mizmazzle’s Trip Across the Pond
-
@hjl360 its on my bucket list too!
@Mizmazzle I think top gear did it many years ago and there's an amazing video from them on it..
-
@louisbosco I’m going to be looking a lot closer at it that’s for sure.
-
@Mizmazzle I've done the West Highland way twice. If you have the time, it's well worth it. From the Bridge of Orchy hotel to Fort William just gets better and better.
-
Me of the right about 26yrs go. This was taken at the end near Fort William. My first time completing it. -
This route is doable at a good pace in 2.5/ 3 days. First night you can stay at the Bridge of Orchy hotel. They have hotel rooms and lodge rooms. Second night stop at the kings house hotel in Glencoe. Again, there are hotels rooms, I think there maybe other types of accommodation as well. I tented it at this location, but it may not be an option for yourselves. Day 3 head to Fort william to complete your journey. -
1st Crainlarich to Tynndrum for break. Push on to Bridge of Orchy. 2nd Brigde of Orchy to Inveroran for Break then onto The King house hotel end of 2nd day.
3 The Kings house to Kinlochleven, ( the Hardest part) break then push on to Fort William. The last part is the longest and hardest. It can be broken differently eg
Day 1, Crianlarich to Kinghouse,
Kings house. 2 .King house to Kinlochleven stop there.
3 Kinlochleven to Fort William.
Hope this makes sense.
Currently travelling so maybe a bit messy. -
@Mizmazzle Awesome! This trip is going to be incredible!
-
@Mizmazzle Did I already mention that you should eat strawberries any (and every) opportunity you get? They're not anything like the ones we get here. You won't be sorry.

@ARNC said in Mizmazzle’s Trip Across the Pond:
Obviously lots of options if you find yourself in London at any point (and probably no shortage of forum members who’d be up for meeting you).
@Mizmazzle second this, I'll take any excuse for a day out in London!

@Mizmazzle glad I could help in some way. Have a good one.
