Thought I'd just add a few more reference type pictures of wear to this shirt. Had it about 6 months, looking at around 60-70 wears I guess, no wash (always over 2 layers and in winter) bit of airing every now and then outside. It's really hard to get pictures with good colour reference. Also as noted earlier, this shirt does not like stubble and will fluff up on the collar where it rubs.

@pechelman me too

Just curious IH team, if you guys are allowed to say how many of these shirts were made in total? Are you mainly limited by the amount of fabric you can make or by the challenges of sewing?

As a general rule, the biggest bottle neck on production is the QCing, not the sewing or the milling, but all elements of the chain are under strain, so its easy for a couple of links to break at the same time and slow things down further.
Sometimes we are only able to get xx rolls of a fabric, and that then becomes the limitation. In the case of this shirt, we were not limited in the initial run, we took orders from all stockists and made assumptions for ourselves, and clearly everyone 'undershot' in the sense that we could have sold more. We will consider rerunning the fabric in the future, but that would come at the expense of factory time to make something new, or re run something else, so we constantly have to juggle what to make, when.

@Alex thank you for the response. I always appreciate hearing about all of the background work that takes place to make all of these wonderful garments come to life! A true combination of knowledge, good luck and a lot of hard work. We do appreciate all of the unseen work that makes this all possible! That sashiko shirt was truly one that sent all of us scouring the world to get. It was worth it!
