WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)

@Chap The food, scenery, and lodge is beautiful…Thanks for sharing! I haven't been to sushi heaven (restaurant?), but have been to the I have eaten too much and don't know how I'm going to make it the rest of the day without taking a nap...
Sushi is a treat for us as the local Sushi is questionable and mostly previously frozen fish... The kids are old enough now that if Laura and I pick the right pieces, they love it (start with Tempura and a couple of the more common kind of rolls). Whenever we go to Toronto, I try to work in a restaurant or type of restaurant that we don't have easy access to.
Small towns are a great place to raise kids in, but I do miss the city conveniences.
@scooter Let me know if you're ever up this way

Been offline for a minute, out in the hinterlands of Japan. Feels very, very good to be back in civilization. Lot of things you realize you've been taking for granted when you're out there. Running water… food that hasn't been sitting in storage for 28 months... mattresses...
Anyhow, we hiked Mount Fuji today to celebrate being back! Went up Yoshida and came down Gotemba, if that means anything to any of y'all. Lots of blisters and knee pain for all involved, but shit'll buff. Tokyo tomorrow, hopefully including a pilgrimage to the IH Japan store(s).

@Chap I think that is the most beautiful and clever corkscrew I’ve seen yet. Couldn’t find it on the GAH website so I’ll have to ask you about it. Was it a limited release?
