Kiel goes nuts these days, it's 'Kieler Woche'. Actually one of the largest sailing events in the world, but also the second largest fair in Germany (after the Oktoberfest).
More than a3.8 million people are coming into town. Most events include being packed in large crowds and listening to crap music, not so much my cup of tea. But last night we went to the 'Night Glow', music (well) and illuminated balloons. Was pretty nice. Here a video from last year:

@Tago-Mago Always as a kid…although after the zoo and then coaching soccer last night (U8), I’m feeling my age this morning.

Went to check out a Volume virtual production facility today — really amazing stuff. Not the most exciting pics but what you can do with this thing is wild.

@goosehd also visited our relatives just three days ago in Gunung Leuser NP, Sumatra.
And just today I ran over an awesome thrift store in Kuala Lumpur! Found impressively faded Evisu No.2 MIJ with red tab. Lot 2000 I suppose.

@GraemeE sadly the original plan to reassemble Gary Carpenter and members of Magnet didn't work out, but they put together a great group of musicians at relatively short notice. The soundtrack performance was definitely the main event - flanked by a very atmospheric opening set from Alasdair Roberts & Jem Finer and a somewhat unsettling performance from Gazelle Twin & NYX to close. The video is not from last night but will give you an idea.
