WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)

@scooter To cheer you up, let me tell you a little story about my granddad, who was a mechanical engineer. When he retired, he constructed and built himself a table saw. Without all the security bells and whistles, of course. Managed to cut two and a half fingers off all by himself… Doctors were able to fix him, though and when he passed away years later, it was with 10 working fingers on his hands, all in the right places. So I hope you have a speedy recovery, too!

@Matt said in WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS):
Oh boy. Looks like you really Giles’d yourself there man.
And quick recovery Scott....
-
My passed step dad in law only had 3 fingers/ thumb on both hands he just used to tell people it was from a shark and a crocodile when really it was from not knowing what tool to use for the job in hand
Only man i knew that could still play a guitar like that
And am now lucky enough that Jacob now has a few of his singer sewing machines all in need of work but all serviceable along with a few of his guitars -
Almost snap....

@alexxedge hell yes dude!!! Freaking Mecca!!

It seemed like we were tripping over chanterelle mushrooms today. Feeling grateful.

@Mizmazzle it was honestly such a cool feeling being there. The guys were SO nice and accommodating. They were helping one other customer when I was in, and when he split they helped me find my size, and dial in my fit. They even just went straight to hemming with no questions. Such a cool experience, and I’m so pumped I was able to make it happen. Just wish I had triple the budget.

Trick or treat as our jack-o'-lantern alter egos.
That's quadruple denim.
-
@alexxedge oh man! I bet. One could easily sink their life savings into an experience like that. Japan is in the works for us. Looking like two summers from now that will be our plan!
-
@Mizmazzle 100% worth it! We had an absolutely amazing trip, on top of the trip to IH. This was a big one in the making as well, for us. A literal year of planning, and couldn’t recommend the trip more. I also went to Hinoya, and grabbed two pair of Onis. I blew the denim budget too fast, before getting to explore other shops. Oops. But, so stoked with my pick ups.
-
@alexxedge we had an 8 hour layover in Tokyo coming back from Vietnam this summer. We made it to Hinoya. It was the smallest taste of Japan and I can’t wait to take a proper trip there soon!

We always wanted to do the “baby in the pumpkin” thing. She wasn’t mad surprisingly -
