Feeling mesmerised by my other obsession apart from Denim, which happens to be orchids… Had this little beauty a paphiopedium for around 15yrs and every year she sends up one or two blooms and I just had to to share the beauty of this one

Yo,
@Giles pinged me the other day, appreciated that dude.
I've been locked in what my devs tend to call their pain-cave of work, been full-on head down with an occasional interlude of levity, for a long time.
So, instead this is a "What have you been doing for a few months" post (feel free to berate if there is a more suitable thread); I'll try to be quasi-informative.
When it was cold - this was as brutal the mild mild West got, a nano-layer of car ice:
This is great boutique German gin, excellent as a Martini, or on the rocks:
For @Megatron1505, random foreign candy…:
Always time for Gibson (apropos, was interested to hear his thoughts on IH recently):
Was in Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress, WALL-E might have been on the money (try not to ponder the porn implications):
My best smartwatch pick, from LG, nicest form factor IMO:
Huwaei are bringing it too, but a little bling for my taste:
LG flex 2 was kinda cool but couldn't wholeheartedly recommend:
This is a heavy weight gin, too brutal for very dry martinis, but with a heavier vermouth hand it shapes up nicely:
I made toasted almond alioli from the Moro cookbook, was insanely delicious:
Managed to get a luckly ghost image of the eclipse:
Bonus image of Jones the cat fresh out of his cryotube:
Messing around with the vacuum for the sous vide:
Far too much of this (but happy to chat to anyone who wants about Agile):
An excellent good IPA that kept me sane in Barcelona:
Another credible boutique gin, but more style than substance, 7/10:
To conclude - too much booze probably, and def too much work.
I'll catch up on forum shenanigans, will see you around.
Best

Random foreign chocolate is always cool, especially when it is amusingly named @hectic
Booze, work, chocolate and tech…...up and down man, up and down
-
More up…... @hectic !
Next time at the beach I will try to make toasted alioli (Gin flavoured).
Thanks for posting.
Moro cookbook: Which one?And a redneck grilled cheese @Haddtoo 555

@Aetas - this one dude: https://www.waterstones.com/book/moro-east/samuel-clark/samantha-clark/9780091941871, I really rate it.

Beautiful @Black Orchid! !5 years! It wouldn't last 15 minutes with me. Recently saw an orchid show in Delaware at Longwood Gardens, it's an annual event a bit of a hike for you but for someone who loves them it's worth the time. Last day of the show the orchids are sold.

@steelworker, thank you but they are not as needy as they look! Lucky you, would have loved to have been in Delaware but yes a bit of a trek! Reminds me of when I went to the Chelsea Flower Show, very famous here in Blighty and usually opened by Royalty. The exhibits are sold on the last day an old fashioned car horn is honked and the public make a mad dash! my funniest memory is of seeing loads of people trying to get on London Tubes and busses with trees and enormous shrubs, true comedy moments….

That's an expensive hobby….I'm a somewhat recovered audiophile....my current setup isn't worth more than I paid for my house.
