Today is @Kasi day!
You are my hero! Thank you so much for having fought against the courier companies so that I can finally make my debut in this thread!!!
I've definitely been bitten by the bug, these Enzo's will be the first of many for sure!!!

The new big titanium models are really cool!

Yeah I saw a model in a titanium color way that was incredible. They are amazing in the flesh. Very solid yet incredibly light. Very hard to resist.

Hey y’all! Question. I own a pair of Molino 55s. Love em. They can get a little heavy on the face after longer periods of wear. Like 3+ hours straight.
What I’m wondering, is if any of you wear JMM frames as normal eye glasses as all day use frames?
I need some glasses. My eyes are at the point I need to start wearing them most of the time during work etc. I found a pair of smaller sized Molinos and and thinking about getting them as an all day pair of glasses. The frames are smaller and a bit lighter I’d imagine. Wondering if fatigue may be an issue or not??
Thanks peeps! -

@Mizmazzle I wear mine every day but have a pretty mild prescription. I think it depends on the frame you choose, your prescription, which lenses you’re putting in, etc.
I don’t have any issues with weight and went with Zeiss bifocal lense.
-
@goosehd thanks bro! I appreciate that feedback. My script is pretty mellow too. Reason I rarely wear my glasses all day is Im near sighted. Drives me crazy lifting up my glasses all the time to read my computer or see things up close clearly. Going to try a progressive lens for the first time. Hoping it makes for easy wearing and no fuss!
-
@Mizmazzle my Walkers are very heavy but something about the way they fit I can wear them for hours without issue. To the extent that I’m tempted to buy some clear ones for optical frames.
Conversely, my Zephirin 47s are lighter but they actually have had a couple of hotspots that were problems. After two adjustments at Queen City, no more hotspots.
If there are particular spots that get uncomfortable, I’d take em to those fellas and they’ll adjust them, no charge.
I think weight can be a factor, but the bigger piece is how the various pieces are adjusted to seat the glasses on your face, especially if you have a crooked nose as I do.
One more thing I’ll say is that frames with nose pads could work too. Not going to find that on a lot of the acetates though if that’s your preference.
I have progressive bifocals from Queen City’s in-house optometrist and have very high regard for him and love my prescription.

@Mizmazzle when i started to wear my Taos for a longer stint first they were heavy and i felt a little pressure around my ears. But after a while that was gone or i got used to it. I can wear then easily for a few hours without any hassle. Does it hurts? Do you feel pressure? Or are they sliding due the heaviness?

@Mizmazzle I've got a pair of the ICU. They've got a titanium frame with a small aperture for the lens, and they weigh nothing.
It probably depends on what style you use.

New prescription lenses for the newly called Mo Enzo's and the Juliens. Yes, I'm the lost brother of @Daniel-San

Good advice everyone. I haven’t got the new frames yet. They should arrive on Saturday. I think they will be great. Was just sort of wondering what some of you “all day” glasses wearers thought. Seems I’ll be joining your ranks soon!! Updates to come!!
@spaniarddh you've got a great face for those frames brother!! Perfect fit!!
-
@Mizmazzle I've got the perciers from JMM as glasses. they aren't as bulky as their sunnies counterparts, JMM does optical frames as well, maybe good to have a look at those..
-
@louisbosco I’ve got the smaller Molino frames headed my way. I already have the larger 55s as sunnies with prescription lenses. When I bought the new smaller Molinos they were described as an optical version with clear lenses. Fingers crossed. I’ve never worn glasses all day. This is new territory for me.

@Mizmazzle thanks a lot!!
-
hope they fit well. looking forward to pictures

That was a good point raised about about getting used to glasses too. Your skin will adapt a bit, though I think the skin on the sides of your nose is extraordinarily thin. You may just have to live with marks on your nose, but should not have to live with discomfort.
