IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Can someone comment on inseam shrinkage for these? I had my 666XHS hemmed to 31.5 and they did not shrink at all but wouldn't want to do the same to these and have them come up on me due to them being less dense. The 31.5 is working out great but w/ these being straighter through the leg, I don't think stacking will be as attractive. Thoughts?
Don't worry, 634S have the finest stacking of all!

Hey all! Got my pair about a month ago…love them so far. So I'm posting here because I have a problem with the proper care of jeans. I gashed my knee open today and got a bunch of blood on the inside of one leg. I wiped it down a bit but I am afraid to soak/wipe too much because I don't want to lose any indigo that way. If I just let it dry out in the sun or something do you guys think it will be fine? I'm just worried about bacterial growth on the inside of the pants leg.
-
wash it to be safe if you're afraid of bacteria. but I'd say, wipe it with a damp cloth and forget about it.
-
Wash them, if not for yourself, for those of us around you for feck's sake!

Dude, they're jeans, not the Mona Lisa. Just wash them. Don't over think it. If you wash them inside out, you shouldn't lose much, if any, indigo. They'll be fine.

Hey everyone!
Brand new to raw denim and japanese denim for that matter. My friend has convinced me to get Iron Hearts and I'm going to take the plunge. Just had a quick question on sizing, both my jeans are tagged as size 38. but here are the measurements that I took using the iron heart method.
1. BLUE LEVI505
waist - 42
front rise - 12.25
rear rise - 16
thigh - 14.5
knee - 10.25
hem - 9
inseam - 302.BLACK 501
waist - 41
front rise - 12.5
rear rise - 16.5
thigh - 14
knee - 10
hem - 9.5
inseam - 32As you can see they both nowhere near size 38 in the waist. I was thinking about buying the 38's (http://www.ironheart.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=23) in the 634S but am hesitant and was wondering if they will stretch. As well should i get them hemmed? I hate having overly long jeans, if so hem to a 32 length?
Thanks in advance for the input.

Go for 40. if you don't want to stretch them too much 42. (I'd take 42, but I always go for TTS)
If you want slimmer fit, fo gor another model.
Do you cuff?? I take that 30" inseam is ok to you without cuffing?
So get them hemmed to 32,5", (0,5" for stacking behind the knees) That way you can either cuff or wear them uncuffed.
Just note, that if you start cuffing them, there will soon be fraying so that's it and they are your cuffed jeans… -
so the 501 are loose on the waist? You should be able to get 2" stretch with some effort. I think more than that is pushing your luck. I was going by the meas you gave, and assumed that they are good fit in the waist.
If your black 501's are loose on the waist, you need to figure out how much they are loose. If 40 is good, then I'd go for 40 as they won't stretch much, only what is needed…

chang, I have a pair of 40 waist, chainstitched to 31.5 if you wanna try a pair before buying a new one. I could let them go for $75

I brought in some pairs for my coworker, who is sick of GAP jeans, and is the same waist size.
So he's looking through my jeans (33 634S, 34 634S, 34 634-XHS) and another coworker comes by, asks what's going on. I tell him about the jeans, including the price, and why I brought them in. He says "Dude, these 3 jeans, that's an iMac! How can you spend so much on denim?". Then he stands there for a bit, looking at the well worn 33 634S. "Hey, can I try these on?"
Fast-forward a few days. He tells me his wife has okayed him for a pair
