Put it on after hearing the news of today…
„Superficially, Amon Düül II can be linked to countrymen Can and Faust. After all, all three German groups were children of the 60s, who locked themselves up, dosed on psychedelics and improvised music accordingly. But as far I'm concerned the similarity ends there!“
I like Can intensely and love Faust.
But bowled over by Amon Düül II …A few more biased reviews here…
Upholstered footage from 1970..,

Just returned from a trip to SF to celebrate my 21st anniversary w/wifey. Amoeba gods were shining down on me and blessed me with 2 holy grails. Whilst out there I scored a tape that my buddy made.

Cool cover art, @GraemeE

@GraemeE nice score! I’ve been looking high and low for a copy of push push but they are hard to come by.

I found some much needed Bonnie in a killer little shop in Guadalajara today…they let me kick back with a couple Victorias and test drive the goods…may have to go back while we’re here
-
@68degreesorless I hate to say this but I actually passed up a copy of that one a few weeks ago at goodwill....
The perils of going mid workday during lunch - got an urgent call on a fire (metaphorical) that needed to be put out so had to leave and head back to the office
-
@GraemeE dammmmm. Well, on the bright side, this gives me hope. On the dark side, work can always wait for that chest hair and the Duane Allman slide work to accompany the flute.

@SKT said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
Tweedy’s book is called “World Within a Song”
I've read once and listened to the audiobook once - will likely revisit every couple years
Great book
