salah was kept shut and it was effective. would've been better sounding if it was 2-0 rather than -1
True. Young and Bailly did great jobs defensively.

then.. today happened… fml..

The MLS has officially been Zlataned. Couldn't have asked for a better debut for Zlatan and the LA derby.
-
Not happy that we let him go but at the same time this has been a great move for MLS and soccer/football in the states. At the end of the day I'm happier to see him here than at Manchester still if I'm being honest…looking at the bigger picture and the benefit of the sport on a global level. Let's just hope he can stay injury free. Zlatan doesn't get injured, injuries get Zlataned.

wow, Liverpool up 2-0 already vs Citeh…I know it's still early in the clash but Liverpool does seem to have City's number this year.
-
Annnnnd it's 3-0 lol.
-
This is quite impressive how Liverpool have managed to shred Man City apart at home this year.
-
I bet over 2.5 first half goals, £165 better off

Nice

Yep…still not feeling entirely comfortable if I'm Liverpool fan right now. They needed more goals. Thankfully they didn't allow City to get an away goal.

I’m much more comfortable than I thought I’d be after a first leg against City, given that it’s only the half way stage. If you’d offered me a 3-0 home win beforehand I’d have bitten your hand off. Fekk it, I’d have taken any win plus a clean sheet.
It’s a great start, that is all.
-
Oh without a doubt, not trying to discredit it at all and honestly you couldn't have asked for a better first leg. I'm just saying that it's Man City and they can score goals in their sleep so Liverpool just needs to keep this same mentality going into the second leg. Don't let up…don't get too comfortable. I'm pulling for them for sure.

I've said this before and I'll say it again….that front 3 for Liverpool is thrilling to watch IMO and is by far my favorite front 3 in the game right now.
Also, Klopp seems to have a knack for building these fast paced attacking teams yeah? Similar style with Dortmund IIRC.
-
Klopp certainly has his style. If he has a limitation as a manager, it’s that he has total belief in his system (in much the same way as Pep). That is great when it works but it means plan B is the same as plan A but more so [emoji1]
Contrast that with Maureenho who, from his second spell at CFC and up to today, is willing to choose a team, strategy and tactics to get a result on that day and against that team. As we know Klopp struggles against him.
With regards to City, I expect the second leg to be just as intense and difficult as the first.
