Thoughts on the Scousers meeting today? Nice game, nice goals, Barkley should've seen a red card.
I have a few thoughts but in the interest of a fun, relaxed footie thread, I won't share them all.
I'll say this though, given that one of their own received a career threatening injury in an international "derby" less than a week ago, Ross Barkley might have thought about reigning it in a bit. But no.

such a shame that soccer or sports in general gets affected by this. especially bartra who was a victim of it..

Terrible thing to happen @Aetas , all the best for Dortmund this evening.

Seconded on both counts. Heja BVB!

Bloody Bayern are out of the CL! LOVE IT! More, please! Three cheers for Real!!!

Bliss…..sometimes my wishes are granted. The arrogant bastards from Munich were treated to another loss, on home turf, against arch rivals Borussia Dortmund. Love it, love it, love it! No cup this year, guys. No champions league. Too bad we can't take the league title away from you as well......

I truly believe that since the last world cup Germany has been the best team in the world. Sure they haven't always been ranked number one but the depth and the quality that they have is ridiculous, as was proven against Chile. I'll never forget how they dismantled Brazil at the last world cup in Brazil's own house and how they handled it in such a clinical, cold, calculated manner. There really is something great going on with that team and will be for some time to come IMO with the youth they keep bringing up through the ranks.

yeah so Neymar makes pretty good money I guess
effin ridiculous

Excited for the upcoming season though. Mourinho has made some excellent moves for the squad IMO and hopefully they can seal the deal with Perisic here in the next few days. Even though we've also made some nice additions at the CB position I still feel like we need some world class talent in there. Was really hoping we could have picked up Hummels last year but pointless to talk about that now. I miss the days of Ferdinand/Vidic and we need to find that again if we want to have a chance of winning the CL.
Back to PSG though….anything less than a ligue 1 title and a CL title would be considered a failure for them in my book. They've really put the pressure on themselves splashing this money around.

neymar is definitely not worth 222million euros. no player can be worth that much. the fact that PSG is willing to break the bank to sign them is amazing. the inflation of the market is so high now some wonder when the bubble will burst. 50mil for kyle walker. 100mil paul pogba. simply unbelievable.
but that said, i'm excited to see lukaku and pogba team up, especially with matic covering him as well. the side already feels great. the youngsters like lingard and all are doing well too. i'd be sad to see anyone go because mou signs a couple more players…

Super excited about Lukaku, Matic, Pogba…hell the whole squad for that matter and I agree...it just feels great. And Valencia is looking fantastic too. He was a terror going forward on the right wing against Sampdoria, although his defensive error did end up resulting in Sampdorias only goal.
The market is insane right now. What value do we put Ronaldo and Messi at now?! Can't even imagine.

Lol. Seriously

yeah, i saw the highlights to that game where he was skinning their left back time and time again. i really hope this year will be that year of the ressurection. Messi is unattainable for most clubs, especially to meet FFP. Ronaldo, i don't even need to explain further. but then again, Neymar is 25, Ronaldo and Messi are both ageing into their 30s. Their values will certainly be on a downwards curve..
