Where do we report issues with the new forum?
-
Unread is geared up to take you to that thread as its main intent, where as the category page otherwise allows you to either click on the thread, or that member depending on which you'd prefer to see @jordanscollected

I'm unable to start a new BST thread. I'm over 20 posts and have bought and sold many times from BST in the old version. Please advise.
Thanks

@Alex works now thanks!

@Alex I posted a question/observation about email notifications and new chats previously. Wondering if you or someone else on the crew knows the answer. I have set my notifications under settings to receive an email and notification for new chats. So far it hasn't worked. Is the feature not functioning or am I doing something wrong?
-
@alex PM/Chat sent.

Thanks mate. Agreed that does not work for me. @jtaylor69 can you investigate on Monday please?
-
Thanks for the prompt response and looking into it.

Is there a setting or something to use infinite scroll where it doesn’t jump ahead when it randomly loads more content/photos? It’s really annoying, I’ll be scrolling through and suddenly it jumps ahead 20 posts and I have to scroll back only for it to happen again. I don’t think it’s my internet or iPad Pro, both are fast.
Only solution I’ve found is to turn off the pagination and click next page. Am I the only one?
-
When using pagination the page numbers are only available at the bottom. Personally I would like to see them at the top as well. As it stands it's a bit clumsy moving backwards in a thread. I'm new around here and find myself doing that quite often.
Another little niggle for me is the large black bar with the thread title. For my part I'd rather have that screen real estate available for reading posts, and cutting down on scrolling.
That said, really enjoying this forum! God knows, my Iron Heart collection is growing.
-
@JunkPants - I’ve had the same thoughts, for the same reasons.
-
Personally, I like the black bar with the title. It lets me know what thread I’m in and is useful in keeping things somewhat organized.
I read just about everything that is posted on the forum and without it, I would get confused on what conversation is going on in what thread.
I use it most often when I have to move posts from one area to another.
-
@goosehd - I definitely see your point, but I just look at the address bar or the top of the tab if I loose track.
-
@JunkPants The address bar doesn’t give me the full information I need and without the black bar it only gives me the section of the post not the thread title.
For example: The section is “New Forum Frequently Asked Questions” but the thread is “Where do we report issues with the new forum?”.
If you remove the black bar with the title, then things will get messy.
-
@goosehd - I should have made that clear, but I was talking about computer/desktop use with regards to the address bar and tab. I can see the bar being more useful on a phone/tablet.
