IHJ-129-BRN - Japanese Horsehide Riders Jacket - Brown
-
@tody
and? will you grab this brown beauty? -
@Daniel-San still totally unsure, but tending to 'yes'
-
@Chaintitch looks like the pics have been updated
-
Just seen this in the flesh in Gosport today. It’s an awesome jacket for sure. If only!
-
@ARNC awesome! Beautiful jacket
-
Thanks @Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot @T4920. It also amuses me to be buying something that’s technically F/W23 after (I think) I’ve already got what I wanted from S/S24.
-
@ARNC ...Thank those gods for the mismatched zippers?
-
It’s here! I love the style, execution and unexpected multi sensory experience ( the smell and the little creaks when I move).
Not 100% sure on the sizing so would appreciate honest thoughts. Over just a heavy tee it feels good open and a little snug zipped (not restrictive though so maybe it just needs to soften up a bit). I can comfortably add a 9oz flannel underneath open but maybe not zipped. I’m most likely to wear it over just a tee and/or open, so I’m inclined to stick with this size (+1 might well feel a bit too big).
Anyway, here’s some pics:

@ARNC
great fit and it will be even better when broken in ! -
@ARNC it's hard to find a leather jacket that fits better than that.
The arms, length, chest, and shoulders all look perfect.
-
Thanks @goosehd @Daniel-San @DrPat! At the moment I think it looks great but I’m still getting used to how it feels. I’ve seen comments on the threads for previous iterations of these jackets that they feel smaller than they really are at first and that going too big initially is a mistake, so I think I’m good. Appreciate having confirmation that I’m not deluding myself!

It’s that horse hide thing , it just takes time to mould. feels strange when new cause it’s so stubborn even worse than a Lefty
But this will significantly change after some wear. -
@Daniel-San thanks. I haven’t experienced the lefty yet, but makes sense. It also ties in with my decision to go with dimensions similar to my type iii jackets (and this is the point I should probably give a nod to @Bailey for pre-sale guidance).
