@Jcaz6996 thanks man! These are the heaviest denim I’ve worn from any company, and the rigidity + buttoning was second to none when new and post soak. I’m thrilled to see how this year ends, and while still in the honeymoon phase, I’m already thinking about the year 2 comp. Also haven’t had denim set this hard since my extra crispy SEXI14 of years past. Gonna be a good year!

Great progress on the SBGs @Fades-for-future
Here’s mine, 35/35 wear days this far.
I’m a bit unsure of how to properly expose, that black denim is really hard to capture and exposure makes a huge difference. What version do you like more, guys?
+/- 0 exposure compensation
+2/3 exposure compensation

Definitely the +EV. This needs overexposure because there's a lot of black in the frame which will meter as less light than the assumed 60% grey. The brick looks better too and probably the best way to spot meter on that and also use to help set white balance if needed.

I generally prefer the photo to reflect as much as possible that what the photographer sees while taking the photo. That said, when taking photos that are meant to show the evolution of clothing, I prefer the contrast, exposure etc. to be as close to the "reality" of what is being showcased as possible. I vote for the +2/3 exposure compensation - in this case, because I have a pair of 888-SBG too and know what they're "supposed" to look like.

Perfect, thanks guys!

There's the desk job people...and then there's the labor intensive job people. You gonna be in the top 10 again, I see!

@weftyarn I think the extra exposure reveals more of the true nature of the fabric without over-highlighting it. It is difficult to capture such darkness without giving the fades an optical boost. I don’t see exposure as an advantage, just a tool for an accurate capture. Not like cranking the contrast post-shot. Jeans looks great! Having my own at the same stage, I know how light can be mistaken for fades with these. Love SBG!
