Indigo invitational Y4

@weftyarn Thanks! I do feel like the iphone can lie/exaggerate the progress a bit though, I'd say the last two photos I posted seem the most accurate.
Your pair appear to be further along than mine, some good work there!
SBG can be prone to marbling from what I've seen, but as you say it should fade out/blend in with more wear. Some great roping going on already on your pair as well.
Did you soak these before washing (inside out)? -
@weftyarn mine looked very similar after the first wash, but it became completely unnoticeable after a few more months of wear and a second wash!
Seems like SBG 21oz is prone to this, I took care (inside out, pre soak, low spin) but still happened... I guess no spin would've been better, but I'm too impatient to wait 2 days to dry
-
@T4920 @JunkPants Good to hear it’s a common thing with SBG. I did my best with pre soaking and turning inside out, but did not go without spin cycle. Maybe that’s the reason. But I’m a big fan of vintage fades anyways, so the next wash is not too far away
-
Here is my 3 month update no washes yet. I am going to push them for as long as I can until I give then a wash
-
@weftyarn Yeah, hard to say what caused it, or if it could have been avoided. I have no doubt they will look great. Those 888S-21 of yours look incredible.
Cool to follow along with the progress and the different approaches to washing and wear. I'm going to (try to) limit the number of washes/soaks, if I can.
-
@Gammaman Brilliant, man, these look so good on you! And that shirt... fading suits you
-
@weftyarn They look slick! Love following the eve here, bro!
-
Awrighty tight... so here be my two submissions this third round. Must say I am impressed by how the 555 on the inside of the bib is progressing. They both just seem to mold, but the one on the inside hasn't shed much indigo, still feels fresh (wtf). Best fade wishes to ya
-
@denim-dawg Might be a silly question, but does it get very warm during the summer where you live!? If so, are you gonna power through with 42oz of denim on your legs during this period of time!?
-
@T4920 Good man, always a pleasure! This whole thing has gone from silly to serious hahah.. no no, seriously though (hahah!). Last year it got to around 30 celcius. So my aim is to see if the two layers cool one another (I see you smiling). Just gotta try it, eh?! Have a great one!
-
@denim-dawg respect! I can just about wear one pair of heavy denim at 30 degrees... Hopefully the salty sweat will yield unique patina to your 21oz base layer
-
@denim-dawg Wow, looking great!
@T4920 Haha, 21oz base layer for summer, love it
-
@T4920 haha - cheers - I will at least give it my honest best. What is your summer attire? There is that... well, the advice is movement and sweat, right?...
-
@JunkPants Thank you!! Likewise!!!
-
Love seeing submission photos around the 3rd mo. mark as that’s when everything takes off. Great job everyone!
-
Probably skipped posting last month, but here’s the progression so far on the 18oz vintage…
-
@RoxRocks86 What a swell job you are doing with the vintage 18oz!! Love how different it is to other jeans - three months! Whohoooo!!
