@ARNC some of the best gigs! Love me a sticky floor gig. Finding a lot of reunion/anniversary tours happening post covid of bands I was into during my uni days - although respectfully standing on the outskirts these days rather than in the middle of the pit
-
@long_john86 I’m definitely standing on the outskirts, although I was never in the thick of it. I’m far more willing to try new things now and much less uptight than I used to be!
Last night was definitely the first time I’ve ever been in a room full of people shouting burn down Primark!
Edit: added link for context

just found out about this thread, is it okay to post little throwback here?
so here it is, Judas Priest 2016
Black Sabbath, 2016
Foo Fighters, 2017
Slipknot, 2023 ( didn’t take the pictures too much on this one, because i was in front and the rest was history )
The Strokes, 2023 ( one of my favs band all the time, that got me into music )

Saw this crazy band March Fourth that mixes funk and brass band styles into marching band instrumentation. This shot is during a portion where the band went out into the crowd and one of the entertainers who spins batons, juggles, dances, sings, and hula hoops got up on stilts. A really great time if they come near you.

@MQR Dude, Yes! Thanks for sharing, they all looked awesome! Which one was the highlight!?
-
@mclaincausey those guys are from my neck of the woods and are always a fun time
They do (or used to do) a big all ages show in town every year on 3/4 - we took our oldest to a few of those
-
@jiminstitches thank you!
hmm...my biased version is The Strokes, but production-wise i think it would be Black Sabbath/Slipknot can't really pick one , but of course they all really have their awesomeness in their on way if that makes sense..

@ARNC many amps. many, many. my ears are ringing looking at this pic
-
@Matt man I love them. Some of the best records Albini ever worked on IMO.
-
@Eza funny story about them from one of my wife’s colleagues: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/the-scene/parties/a29563421/bronson-van-wyck-born-to-work-forced-to-party-book-excerpt/

@mclaincausey LOL wild thanks for sharing
-
@mclaincausey oh man does he kick ass. Saw him two nights in Santa Barbara awhile back and I still think about those shows regularly.
Second night he got stoned and just played through the set break acoustic by himself. Was next level. -
@TENDREL I don’t think there’s a better live music experience out there. They play every note like their lives depend upon it, have a great catalog blending old timey, rock, and psychedelic covers and originals, and have serious production now.
