IHSH-380-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo
-
@Matt you can make requests as usual in the order notes, which we will do our best to accommodate. We are not changing the format of the sizing charts for shirts as it will break the product comparison tool by adding in a number of new rows and potentially further confusion by bringing more information in to the fold.
As Alex mentioned above, we'll follow up with actual sleeve width regardless

@AdamJ Do you know is this 12oz shirt will be significantly lighter in weight than its CPO 12oz Dobby cousin that will be released?
Will the main difference be added pockets? Similar heft to them?
Thanks.

@Alex Is it just the forearm sections that is slimmer than your usual Work shirts, and everything else on the shirt is like your typical work shirt measurements, or the entire shirt overall is a slimmer cut vs the typical work shirt?
Only asking bc from my experience, I fit better in a size Small Work shirt, but a Medium Western. When I look at the measurements for this shirt vs say a IHSH-349-IND for example, the measurements are quite different between the 2 for the same size. Just wanting a bit more info before I know which size to settle with tomorrow. Thanks

@Ross said in IHSH-380-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo:
IMPORTANT NOTICE
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: The sizing is a little small, we would anticipate most people need to size up. In addition, the arms are noticeably slimmer. Because of this, we have compared the forearm widths as part of the shrink test.
Anyone who orders from us, we will reach out to confirm sizing before we ship. If you have particularly big/muscular arms for your tag size, unfortunately this will likely not work for you, sorry. We hope this issue will not be present for the CPO. Apologies for the inconvenience.

@Jcaz6996 thanks liking the fade on that
-
@Heavy_blue thanks. I had something similar in the distant past, (probably pretty inferior) and wore out too quickly

Thinking about ordering a size Large.
Just compared the size charts with the Dobby and my own 8oz Herringbone.
I want to make sure that the size is right.
What do you think? -
@UH just order and give some specific measurements or questions in the comment area when you’re gonna order
-
There we go!!! Go go go.. and.. got it

Do you know what's really bad (for your wallet)? Having your office two blocks away from an IH retailer.
The fabric is really unique, and it doesn't come close to anything "dobby" I touched before, i.e. the 5oz from last summer or my wife's Momotaro shirt.
It is a fairly hefty weight, but hey, it's 12oz - you would kind of expect that. Not a summer, more of a spring/fall weight.
The arms are indeed very slim. Not unpleasant, but the shirt feels different on your forearm as it doesn't slide up and down as easily.
I went for a XXXL instead of my usual XXL. The XXL did fit sort of ok, but was more western-like slim, and the chest button was pulling a little.
Shoulders and chest on this one are perfect, waist and opening are rather wide. It's super comfortable from the start, though!

Ordered. Hopefully works for me. Normally a M in IH work shirts and a L in the Westerns, so I went with an L here.

Copped! Hoping the sizing works out

Beside the the arm measurements i didn’t see anything crazy for a large. So just went with the large! Since i’m no hulk i guess it will all work out
