@Oaktavia thank you for the heads up! My flannel collection has been relatively slow off the mark compared to how fast I accumulated denim.. at the minute I have the 9oz green ombré, red buffalo check uhf and last winters blue tartan check uhf. The upcoming orange slubby and a purple ombre will be my next two, no matter how long I have to wait for the purple will you be getting any from this season?
-
@Oaktavia I can understand that very well.. I’m concentrating on wearing around 4 and have quite a few sat in the drawer unworn. If everything goes to plan we’ll be moving house soon so I’m currently trying to figure out which ones I can possibly live without and sell to help with the move

@DeeDee85 Nice! I am trying to not buy any more shirts. I have more than I can wear now...with eight UHFs plus my other shirts. I do not need any more. We'll see...I really just want to put some wear into what I already have.
This is me as well…although I may not be able to resist one of the corduroy shirts

This is me 1000% but with jeans. I have enough pairs that if I ever wanted to get proper, really good looking fades on each, I'd probably be looking at a decade. I've got a little stockpile of unworn jeans all queued up, so resistance for me has gotten to be a key practice. It's tough as hell though haha.
-
@popvulture the hardest part is looking into my wardrobe and knowing I won't wear a few items anytime soon AND knowing there is just no way I can sell them either.
-
@Oaktavia dude, I absolutely know this feeling
-
@Oaktavia DUDE, the struggle is real. I generally stick to a rotation of two pairs for any given season but occasionally I'll bust out either an old well-faded pair or a new pair just to scratch the itch. Shirts have to rotate a lot more than jeans, but i do try and double up on my fadables.
-
@Oaktavia tbh i was really psyched about some cord shirts and i really do like the look of the upcoming ones, great colors - but I had in mind the type of corduroy like the recent restock of type 3s in a finer wale. The fat wale with its extra luxurious velvet looks a bit much for me on a shirt.

I try to stick to two pairs too in a rotation but that usually means I wear my main pair five days a week and my side pair only two. I try to wear the same jacket or a shirt and rotate similarly.
-
@Oaktavia Yup, i def favor one or the other of the two in rotation haha. You've been favoring the xhs, yes? I've been terrible with fading shirts lately though. That should change once it cools off.
-
@WhiskeySandwich Yup XHS is what I primarily wear, I have 'em on now. It is super cold in my classroom so I am able to wear my T1 indoors all day long, switching out a short sleeved shirt each day. I can't decide what other long sleeved shirts I want to favor this fall...I'm thinking:
18oz Vintage CPO
Untucked
295bb
Indigo KerseyAll of the above are killer shirts too but I want to favor just one. IDK how TF I'm going to choose...what would you choose?
-
@Oaktavia man, i'm still on the fence about committing to xhs. i just really love the 21oz. even year round. It's pretty chillly in my office too and I really need to work on some of my fadable shirts more. All of those are great shirts - none are new to you, right? the kersey? I will DEF be giving my 18oz CPO some love this season but i'll probably going in on the 16oz SBG some more too. the 18oz is just so comfortable. Goes well over a flannel too....
-
@WhiskeySandwich I know a few folks on here have expressed their love for XHS so I won't reiterate other than pointing out that out of my seven pairs of IH, four of them are different XHS iterations.
I am actually leaning more towards the 18oz CPO. None of the shirts I mentioned are new to me either. I have some nice fades already started with the 18oz so maybe that'll be my go to.
-
@WhiskeySandwich not that you need to be in any kind of rush, but I feel like if you love IH, you absolutely have to check out a pair of XHS at some point. Not to be missed!

XHS is amazing. I tried some and wasn't as into them, thinking it wasn't for me. Eventually, I realized it was just the cut that wasn't my jam. That said, though, I do think I like 21 more than the 25. And I am loving the all year round wear that I'm getting out of the 17oz natural denim.
As said above, I have way too much than I can really wear to see all the fades. I tend to really just focus on 2-3 pairs at a time, and rotate shirts in and out. Can't wait for it start getting cooler here so I can get back to wearing more than just my IHSH-13's over a tee.
-
I've nearly committed then chickened out on the XHS several times now. I just keep finding 21oz to be the most versatile denim for me. I'm sure one day when i'm satisfied with my current pairs, i will pick some up. I even got a 25oz coin bag to test handle the fabric lol. I can def see myself wearing some for winter outdoor work, or even in the office. But it's gonna be hard to beat all my 21oz pairs for effortless wearability. 18oz vintage is a fave too. Maybe once i have a minimum hundo wears on all my other pairs.... next year? also depends on the seasonal releases lol
