Why so many weights?

Best money you’ll ever spend haha

I think the subjectivity you’ll find is more than enough validation for all the weights. I wear XHS or UHR most of the time, and don’t really get hot in it until the real summer heat (and this is after actually getting out in the heat and walking for a while). And I’m a very hot-natured person. Oddly, I find 21oz a lot hotter, and even more I find the 14oz to be the least comfortable and my least favorite of all the IH denims. So yep, really varies wildly from person to person, and I love having all the options.

You find the 14oz more uncomfortable than the UHR? You crazy.
I’m joking. Like I said, different strokes. I love my XHS, too.

So I just need to buy a pair of each fabric and see for myself
You asked one question, got 30 answers and came to the correct conclusion all on your own. Well done.

The 14oz are much hotter than my 21oz because the weave is so tight.
-
@drewfonse haha yeah I dunno! My UHR actually seemed to get comfortable very quickly, and tbh I might find them 2nd place in comfort to 21oz. And by that I mean softness, not heat. For whatever reason I find the 21 just as hot or maybe hotter.
As mentioned above, I think it just the tight weave of the 14oz that makes it so much hotter to me. Also noticed the waistband cut into my love handles a lot more haha…

I like them all for different reasons. 21oz are like sweatpants when they're broken in. 25oz feels like armor at first, but gets unbelievably soft over time, 19L is like cardboard but will eventually yield and become really soft. 14oz is a nice compromise for summer when the very-breathable 21oz becomes too much. YMMV.

@popvulture holy shit in ATX I’m sweating just thinking about UHF or XSH there even in spring

@mclaincausey haha yeah I'll admit being a bit of a masochist in my denimly pursuits but I think that applies to many of us
