@Oaktavia The one that you upvoted from 2020, where I was asking for a 19OZ IB CPO.
Oh right, I was searching for "19oz CPO" to see if there was another version of one out there. I did not find one but found your comment asking for a 19oz indigo/black CPO and thought it was cool it came to fruition. .

I know I’ve probably said it before and it’s a long shot if even that, but I’d love to see the old 18oz raw denim come back. I like the vintage and all, but the OG was/is my fave IH denim I’ve worn, albeit that the pair I had was a bit too small and I didn’t get to enjoy to the fullest.
I know the new 18oz replaced it and there was no need for two of that weight, but hey — why not just replace it again? A guy can dream

I wouldn't argue....

I don't think the vintage 18 did 'replace' the old 18oz, certainly was not a decision that I made. The decision to phase out the OG 18oz was made before I was managing IH, and I can't honestly remember why, though given @Giles conceived the denim, I suspect it was a IHJP decision

Right on! Thanks for the responses, y'all — this is illuminating. The pair of 666 that popped up in buy/sell got me longing for that denim again, and I figured I'd bring it up.
To me, it just ticked all the boxes: started out a bit crispy/aggressive, and put up enough of a fight to make the eventual break-in feel nice and earned. My pair ended up feeling really comfortable, and the fading characteristics were beautiful. Oh, and I still love my 178, which (I believe) is that same denim OD'd.
-
@Giles I totally understand that — bit of a tough spot. Politics aside, I'd argue that your 18oz was far and away the better one. Way it goes though, I suppose.

IMHO, the 11oz. olive Herringbone Twill would make a great work shirt, especially with the orange thread chain stich runoff on the gussets.
-
This might sound a little mad but i'd love a blue/pink UHF pattern.

@goosehd Do you have a picture of said "piglet" sounds awesome!
