Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
@WhiskeySandwich IHJ-61, but oiled.
-
@Alex - what about the oiled whipcord N1 deck jacket in khaki? You have done it in black and love, what about khaki?
-
@jordanscollected that 17oz duck western CPO does look great and I see you wearing it often in your posts which has me wanting similar but in the actual shirt (no pockets and slightly shorter); this would make for a great western shirt to break up all the blues and blacks in the rotation imo.
-
@WhiskeySandwich +1. I love this jacket pattern. Would be awesome in a lot of different configurations
-
@SKT for sure. I’m not super into the broken twill but the pattern is awesome, both casual and as a Moto jacket. If it were oiled, itd be good for weather on a bike.
OR… corduroy for this jacket. I love me some cords
-
@WhiskeySandwich yup corduroy would be killer.

I recently bought Filthy Mike's indigo cord T3 and it is amazing feeling, the fabric is unreal.
-
@WhiskeySandwich i wore a cuffed TSC wrangeler WESTERN cut for a bit, i think i bought because I never seen a 37, wore randomly and eventually donated to local church thrift
Also go IH and love! doubt I will donate that!
-
@Oaktavia dude I can only imagine how sick a IH cord would be. I would ding it in a CPO too. I just gotta have pockets!
-
@John-Galt you are on here frequently enough that should have known you were familiar with the 211. If the success of the Untucked is any indication, your suggestion would be swallowed up by the current iron heart consumers. The cord collar on the 211 is nice, but for the western the tonal duck collar would be all that is needed. The 17oz duck is a hefty and rigid fabric, and wear as heavy and hard as the 292 and 293 as it doesn’t soften much over time.

It's been suggested, but we are yet to see final FW samples
-
@Alex I read that Haraki-san is considering the commercialization of this jacket:
Perhaps we can convince him somehow of adding the two vertical outer pockets like on the IHJ-79? Or do you think that he wouldn't like the "interference" in his design?
-
Hmm true... I still hope he doesn't permanently remove the vertical outer pockets in the future iterations of his Primaloft jackets. IMO, they are super useful in terms of easy and quick access (e.g., for your smartphone, passport, wallet etc.) and add a lot of character to the overall design of the jacket. Wish I knew the reasoning behind removing them to satisfy my curiosity.
Anyhow, regardless of what he does with this particular model, my suggestion for a future product goes in the direction of a hybrid between an IHJ-79 and IHJ-75/IHJ-102/IHJ-08, which I'm sure anyone who owns or owned one of these jackets could attest that some type of a hybrid of these would hit the spot pretty well.
-
@Crispy-Heron I know this off the specific ask, but Dehen made a Red oiled N1 this year and it’s striking. Not something I would have thought to consider.
-
@jordanscollected Just had a look at that… wow! Just a shame about the eye watering price
-
@jordanscollected @DeeDee85 - beauty for sure but it’s beyond my price range. Sadly.
-
@Alex - thanks. That’s clear. Here is hoping.
-
@Crispy-Heron I think I’d have been tempted if i had known about the oiled Dehen N1 before I got the IH khaki N1.. but to have an IH N1 and two shirts for the same price as the Dehen… feel like I made the right decision

Inspired by the overdyed flannels. This isn’t a very IH idea but I’ll mention regardless. Concept is an ombré overdye. Not an ombré flannel but an overdye that progresses from heavy, say at the shoulders, to completely undyed, or at least less dyed, at the hem.
