I’d pass on a slubby type ii, but will be gutted if ss25 don’t have some slubby easy jorts.

I know there were issues with sewing buttonholes but I nevertheless would love to see a comeback of a denim work shirt with buttonholes (Sorry don't like the snaps on work shirts).
Total opposite for me. I love my 12 ounce workshirt with snaps. Gets more wear than any of my shirts.

I think it makes sense to do < 12 oz -> button, >= 12 oz -> snap.

@Chap IIRC, the 10oz denim WS doesnt have button-hole problem. Maybe the smaller buttons are being phased out anyway, and maybe this is a non-issue regardless of denim weight/weave?

The issue is not the size of the buttons. The button hole sewing machine's pitch is exactly the same pitch as most of our shirting denim, so if the needle goes into the `"gap" made where the warp and weft intercept, the stitch gets no purchase and will pull the button hole constructional thread out of the denim...
