Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

A blanket shirt would be epic.

How about a 9527V? Would love to see a collar like that on a black vest.
-
I love the idea. I'm picturing in my head a heather gray woolen blanket with black bars near the top and the bottom and a prominent Iron Heart logo in the middle.

I would buy this. Can always use a warm, burly blanket. Though I'm very much for minimal branding/logos. Something classy, understated and heavy built IH indestructible.
-
Agreed, not interested in branding. A subtle UHF/Melton wool blanket would be a must buy for me. My girlfriends eyes popped when I mentioned that it was an idea floated on here.
-
UHF is heavy for a shirt but flimsy for a blanket. IMO it isn't the best choice if you have to bond it to something else.

This is a selvedge wool blanket from a vintage loom. Thick, warm, and tons of character in the fabric. (Faribault Woolen Mills).

This is my spec, H and I are still finalising:
Blanket lined body
Quilted satin lined sleeves
Corduroy lined handwarmer pockets
Cord collar
Cord cuff inners
Sized to fit as the unlined version (so XL = XL etc….)I haven't been on the forum much lately, but I just saw this. I can't wait. One idea I had would be to do non-contrast stitching on the handwarmer pockets to keep the sleek look of the original, not break up front of the jacket. (Either way I have to have one!)
-
The new labels on the shirts kind of remind me of the Faribault labels, they'd look cool for sure. But I'm firmly in the big and bold branding camp for the blanket, like a service blanket but Iron Heart being the "service."
I don't normally like labels, I'd prefer no IH label on the shirting for example.

I completely agree with both points. No contrast stitching on the hand warmer pockets, and I need one.

Very excited about the storm rider but have one question: Is there any way to lessen the waist "flair" that IH denim jackets have when pockets + a little length are added? Maybe I'm alone on this, but the pocketed versions almost have a feminine look to them in my opinion due to the modified body shape (though it's primarily when buttoned). I assume the pattern is changed to accommodate pockets + length and keep a fitted profile, but haven't really noticed this outside of IH. It's one reason I've kept with the more cropped, traditionally styled jackets.
