Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
We have woven the new cotton selvedge chino fabric with polyester threads for the selvedge ID. The fabric itself is woven in a slightly off white colour. We can then use this base fabric and dye it any colour we want, whilst retaining the selvedge ID.
For these:

We just dyed the base fabric khaki.
To make the black ones, we will just dye the base fabric black
@Giles will these be a non-fading black similar to the superblack denim? If so, this just made my day. I can't find a pair of black chinos that don't fade to some shitty purplish-brown color with a few months' wear.

Unfortunately what you, me and Haraki think will be an instant classic, often isn't - this is a fickle game….I have been been being asked by customers for years to make a B-10, so we've made one and I think it really is an amazing jacket, it's pure functional beauty. How may have we sold? You got it - feckin none.
-
If it's any consolation, which it's probably not.. the B-10 is a crackin jacket. if I was in the market for a full on winter jacket and didn't have an N-1, I'd be all over it. Plus, other things on the list which when funds come available hopefully will be some consolation..!

I'm sure this had been suggested before, but I'd love to see a dark red wabash work shirt with snaps. Dark emerald green would be good for me, too, but I bet olive would sell better.

Dark burgundy wabash would be a definite purchase.

Both the wabash suggestions sound intriguing…

But as an FYI, H and I agreed in Japan in October that in the SS and FW17 collections, we released far too much variety. Expect smaller seasonal collections going forward…
There's a lot of sense to that. Establish the core line, and very slowly grow that and a few seasonales. I can't fully imagine the overheads that go into each seasonal piece, ideas/pattern creation/finding materials/testing/finding additional(?) sewers/materials people to build, Test/Tweak/Send.
I agree (but what do I know ::) ) the brand should continue to evolve and move forwards seasonally, very slowly adding additional 'core' items. Large seasonal runs are a great way to be stuck with too much inventory and overstretch the team involved in producing.
Sounds sensible to me!

The cost of making the UHF's is sky-rocketing. We are likely to release only 3 or 4 next year, probably no Buffalo's put will do 1 Ombre and a new Window Pane check….
What about an unbrushed UHF G.?
Would love to see an unbrushed Ombre CPO!
To make it concrete: Unbrushed Black and White Ombre CPO. -

green/black UHF Ombré shirts.

fair point. i feel as the denim/workwear peaked in the late 2000s, there's been so much churning out of products to meet different demands that it kinda over saturated the market. i'm amazed at how you guys have been coping as well with that many seasonal products.

There were….....
