Might’ve gone a little overboard

Wray is some good stuff. Not for sipping imo but great in the right drinks. It's got a bunch of funk too which is useful in splitting your rum base in any cocktail you want to make more interesting. Eg, use a clean column distilled lightly aged rum like a flor de caña 4year and Wray to make a killer daiquiri by using 1.5 and .5oz, respectively.
Here are two of my favorite ways to use Wray besides mixing with Ting. If you can't find Ting, I feel like Squirt makes a suitable sub.
Nuclear daiquiri: 1oz Wray | 1oz lime | .75 green chartreuse | .25oz falernum
Bikini atoll: 1oz ea Wray and lime juice | .5oz ea green chartreuse, falernum, orgeat, and Curacao | Mai Tai garnish

@pechelman Every local I talked to and hung out with recommended the Ting and Wray’s…they said nothing started a party quicker
The daiquiri recipe sounds perfect and I will definitely try it. Thank you
@Jett129 I hope it is rocket fuel and will keep me warm and dreaming of the Caribbean on those long winter nights.
I’m also very glad my days of stupidity are behind me where I would have drank the Wray’s for an evening and not had the common sense to take it easy…

@goosehd I was drinking a drink called a Jamaican Kiss which is Tia Maria,Cream and Wray and Nephews. My girlfriend was getting them from the bartender because I was tooo drunk to walk. Meanwhile the bartender thinks the drinks are having no effect on her and keeps making them stronger. Jamaican weed was involved as well. It wasn’t pretty.

That sounds wonderfully refreshing. Would be great too with a splash of soda and/or some lime.
Starts to make me think about making a Hemingway daiquiri with Wray and a bit of grenadine instead of the marschino liquor....hmmm.Has anyone else played around with acid adjusted juices?
Been working on one cocktail that my wife's dubbed the "Electric Painkiller" that adjusts the orange juice to lime that's completely ruined us for any other painkiller. -
@pechelman It kind of tasted like a rum punch…and thank you for the suggestion of the lime and/or soda. I’m going to keep working on this one as an afternoon drink on the hot summer days.
Cheers!!
