Samurai Jeans

Chop this up to another denim blunder. I blindly purchased a W36 710xx because it is a slim tapered jean that is the same size that I have in my strike golds which fit very nice…I already cold washed them once and the jeans shrunk a little. If I hot wash and tumble dry, will I get notable shrinkage? I have leeway on the inseam because I have a 1.25 inch cuff...

There's no real way for you to permanently shrink them unless they are unsanforized they will just stretch out again…imo the waist may shrink but not the thigh.. How about trading for a new pair..

Thanks for the input guys. I wanted something that was more slim straight (like my SG 3105) and thought that the 710xx would fit the bill but didn't really pay attention to the measurements before I purchased (yes, I'm a newbie). I will probably end up selling and trying my luck by sizing down to a W35 or getting something else entirely (thinking of the IH 666s or TFH 1001).

Do I understand you correctly? You wor them for 6 months and ask now for a comment on the fit?
Or where they worn by someone else for 6 months, then bought by you (not knowing how big they might be)?As khaki said, the denim is unsanforized and if they only have been washed once in cold water, there should be more shrinkage left in the denim. That said, the 19oz denim from Samurai doesn't shrink as much as other unsanforized denims out there

Fit after one day - I'm quite happy. If they stretch a bit more, I might not need to alter them. The denim is awesome. They'll go into thecloset now, as we'll get up to 35°C this week.

Me in my 710xx tag size 36. Opinions on the fit? This is after soaking and wearing for about 6 months. Since then, I've given them their first wash in the machine and they shrunk a little but my gf says that they look a big….
Thinking of buying another pair of 710's and sizing down to get a slim fit.
As it stands, my tag size W36 measure as follows (BIG Style):
W 37
FR 11.5
BR 16
Thigh 13
Knee 9.5
Hem 8.75I machine washed the jeans twice so I'm assuming that I pretty much got all of the shrinkage out of them. It looks like I lost about half an inch from the waist, thigh, knee, and hem from BIG's sizing charts. Is that consistent with what everyone else is getting with their 710's?
I am thinking of getting a size 35 so I can get a fit similar to my strike golds (below) which have thigh measurement of 12.8 inches and have a knee of 9.25 inches.
What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated…

Looks like you could. You can ask Gordon to measure a 35 for you, as the last 710 OG and BKB ran pretty small. Not sure about the XX.

^ Thanks for the advice Max. I'll try to e-mail BiG in a bit…
Do you guys think that a W35 would be the "right" fit for the 710xx? I don't think I can go down to W34 unless I lose some serious weight (it's because I like booze more than jeans).

BiG has one pair of w35 left… Will sizing down one size make a big difference from my 36? Based on the above do you guys think a 35 would look good?
-
I don't find the fit above way too big and I am still wondering that you wore them 6 months and then ask about the fit
And yes, a size 35 will look smaller but not by much

^ its because I qm a denim noobie
Can you recommend me a better fit/model ? I know BF is the resident samurai master ️

Based on your bodytype, I don't think you should go with a slimmer cut.I think the above fit looks good, sizing down might not do much difference.
-
Ok, I accept that as an excuse
Well, the fit above doesn't look bad but if your goal is too achieve a slimmer fit, I am not sure if Samurai will be the brand you should choose. The S003JP would be slimmer or the 711 (tight straight fit).
A size down…you have enough room in the knee area and below the knee. But only you know how much room your current size 36 gives you
