Got my pair today. They fit perfect and the sz. 30 didnt feel tight at all. Prob. because the thigh and rise were pretty loose. Extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Received mine today!! [30/36]
My first pair of IH.
I measured for them against my former favorite which have a 32" waist. I'm 5'10", 155lbs.
On first wear they were a bit tight to button the top of the fly, but nothing terribly difficult or uncomfortable. As soon as they're broken in I foresee them being absolutely perfect.Huge thanks to everyone at IH, and especially this thread for all of the friendly help and info!!
Natural lighting.
Indoor lighting.Day 1. Better fit pics soon.

Hello,
I 've just discovered this fabulous brand. VERY interested in the 555 01 model.
Can we expect a lot of stretch, particularly at thigh and knee level ?
I'm looking for a tapered denim but not for a very slim, in the different pictures in this thread, those jeans don't look that slim. is that true or are they really really slim ?
thank you very much for your help

You can expect a good amount of Stretch in the waist of the 21 oz Indigo model (so this one). The thighs and knees might also Stretch a bit, but not crazy amounts. As the top block of the 555 is rather generous but tapers a lot to the knee and below, chosse wisely, wether you can make them work. I can, and I normally can't wear Slim / skinny fits. They don't feel like jeggings but are surely pretty narrow in the legs.

thanks a lot !

Agree with Max, these are "slim" not "skinny" - I find them roomy at top with a mid to slightly high rise, and they taper proportionately all the way down. Measure some jeans you like and compare, "the Iron Heart way" - that will give you the best view of how they will fit. This cut is not for everybody - you might also look at the 666 or Beatle Busters for a slimmer fit (vs. the 634).

@ maxpuissant
I've had these for almost two years. The waist has streched nicely, but the thigh and knee are still snug , although very nice and soft.

Thank you very much for the help.
I've never seen a forum with so many nice people

Had mine for 7 months now, soaked in the sink at 4 months due to alcohol spillage…
I'm tempted to throw them in the washing machine now, but not sure if it's down to boredom or them needing a wash?

Also means I can get them hemmed at Self Edge next week
Not 100% sure if the machine has a slow spin setting mind.

I'm tempted to argue with Giles here (yeah, sir, I know your wrath…).
When in doubt, don't wash is my credo. So look at them, sniff them (when unobserved) and ask is it really necessary, and then postpone the wash.... -
Dear Giles, our difference then is likely in the degree of dirtiness that justifies a wash, where my threshold is higher than yours. The point of extending the life of the denim is very true, of course, only I find torn/destroyed denim so damn cool…..

No slow spin, back to the sink.
