Red Wing Shoes

Tweed doesn't seem like the best material for a liner, but what do I know?
If you are wearing socks I don't see what the problem is.
Durability was my first concern. Tweed doesn't seem like it would hold up that well. Also seems like it would be hot, which is a major concern for me, as I have sweaty feet under the best of circumstances.

My 1st pair of Red Wings, and my 1st pair of black boots.. Pretty impressed for the money. A little uncomfortable, but once the super feet are installed should be right tight
Hoping to gain some versatility for chinos and ducks with black boots. Seem to work okay with the 634sb's, so far so good!

Very nice… good combo with the SBs.

whatever route you take, dont use Mega's cobbler who had issues with his white's resole…

posted my only pair over here:
http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=74.msg208430#msg208430I got them about three years ago and they have seen a lot of wear. Hence the departure from their original honey color.
However, I never bought more Red Wing models, since I find any foot support is barely there and the leather quality is different in same pair. Build quality is OK, but not exceptional.I still like them a lot and wear them whenever I don't have to walk too much.
