Watches - another OCD problem
-
@graeme I like the 36mm Perpetuals, esp the turquoise and yellow dials. My wife likes the pink. Might need to save up for a pair…
More info needed on that good look skelly!

@Anesthetist our skelly (mine & Jules') is an ERA Prometheus Tourbillion;

@Anesthetist after seeing your Breitling, I thought that you'd moved away from smaller watches!
I like the Oyster Perpetuals with the coloured dials too. The coral red is probably my favourite.

I sold my Sub some years ago, no regrets. I passed by a PP Calatrava 3796 in white gold a few months back–-just too many rupees. But finally scored something I have wanted since it first appeared: the manual Grand Seiko 231.

That’s a very nice gift and a really interesting watch. How is the overall fit and finish?

The new ALS 175th anniversary watches. A bit out of my price range but the 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold is my favorite - a truly beautiful piece.

Even the 2 hander looks amazing…

Agreed!
I also find it a bit odd that a German brand calls the split-second a rattrapante rather than a doppelchronograph.

Seeing My Sinn 104 STa has been predominantly on my wrist for nearly 3 years now, I figured I’d give some updates on how the case, and even the leather band, have aged
And held up (the answer in insanely well).
The leather (especially where it flexes) has aged and softened a ton, and the case has stood up to nearly daily use very well. A little pitting (but not much) and still has a decent shine (not really any patina) even though I don’t think I’ve used a polishing cloth in nearly a year.
Overall, the 41mm size is spot in for me - I wish the band was able to be a “little” more snug (yes I know I can punch a new hole if I want to) but I enjoy wearing this tremendously. If anyone has considered testing the market with one, I highly recommend it!

I used to flip watches a ton and have owned a 656, 556, 756, 6068, EZM 2, a U2, and my current Japanese Limited Edition Military Type iii. Never had an issue with any of them and wish like hell I had kept my 656. Sinn makes bomb proof watches, even the 6068 was a tough little bugger.

In my safe, I have a number of watches, some of which are not mine, but I have access to them whenever I "need" them. Yesterday was that day, the bracelet on @Alex 's new watch needed some links taken out, and we were not about to learn how to remove drift pins. So we "borrowed" this Platinum Big Pilot for him to wear when he got married….. @bigpilot

that is beautiful, even better in platinum.
i believe it is also one of john mayer's favourite watch and the one that started his watch collection.

That is gorgeous "Big pilot"
