Watches - another OCD problem
-
Any Bremont fans on here?
After a long spell flipping various watches, eventually settled on this Supermarine (sorry for crap iPhone pic) and a silver dial ALT1-C. They're a superb second-hand buy IMO, seriously well put together.

A good local watchmaker can save LOTS of headaches. The problem is finding one.
I found one up the road (www.watchworks.co.uk), it is being fixed (hairspring problem).

Nice watch. I say go for it.
Go for it if you like it. Tough watch and good looking.
I am. Don't have much knowledge on watches but I've read that Seiko is a good brand and its in my price range.

You certainly get a lot of watch for your money with Seiko.

If I were to go for a Rolex, I think I'd want a Sea Dweller, like this one
Although, I have to admit, this special edition Deepsea is pretty choice, too

I did some training with Patek Phillipe in NY, and they were the only company that I have ever come across that required their watchmakers to make their own screwdriver tips out of brass. It was a pita because brass is so soft, and you are constantly having to reshape the drivers for the screw slots, but there is a reason the movements look so clean

This is on the bay, its pretty rare, thought it might be of some interest:
