Just pimped the family car with stickers

Put a deposit down on this yesterday and will collect in a couple of weeks.
55k on the clock and a very well looked after car.
Last of the naturally aspirated M engines.
Z4M Coupe.

A personal favorite of mine was the Z3M Coupe aka the Clownshoe. It was quite a fun car and it's look were equally as unique.

Yes a very mamite car which has rocketed in price… Id love a phoenix yellow one.
The z4m is a rarer car than the z3m as not many were made....not bought as an investment though but it would be nice

lovely. seconded that the clown shoe has aged well and looks brilliant. but the z4 coupe looks great too!
-
@bryaneidins70 Almost bought one a few years ago before prices skyrocketed, but it was silver and I wanted blue. It's a shame how high the prices are on the car now because at the time the prices were probably the lowest for any used M car I had seen.
-
I feel like it would come down soon enough. JDMs skyrocketed during covid and it's now starting to cool off quite a bit..
-
If you've got some spare change…
-
Unfortunately, I'm on the wrong continent. Who am I kidding? We are saving to move and buy another house again soon. But it is quite lovely.

Here's my riglet. She ("Oma") is a '74 2002 turbo and is my absolute pride and joy. Doesn't get driven as much as I'd like on account of the fact that LA drivers are, uh, not so good.
She's had quite the sordid lil' history and a well-earned patina to match. I got her out of the Netherlands, after sitting for years and needed tons of TLC. She's a regular ol' 10-footer and from that distance one might miss the mismatching paint and other various and sundry nick-nacks, but I love her all the more for it!

doooope dude! A real, proper automobile: NA and manual! This generation of bimmers may've been the last great hurrah.
looks well kept after…

@74turbo Oh man, my dad had one. Wish he would have kept it. A real fun little car. Before all the bloat.
-
Before the bloat's right, @GardenState. IMO, nothing desensitizes the car-driver connection like weight.
New cars are great, with all their bells and whistles, but there's no way to replicate the feel of ~2300lbs greased. Conversely, there are few things as intimidating as driving the car next to a behemoth SUV.
-
@74turbo that 2002 looks feckin awesome. is it all original?
Picked up my Z'd today and had a real blast driving home….The M engine is so raw.

Oh man, as the driver of a forced-induction four-banger (::)), I can only imagine that totally symphonic intake noise…
The posted pic of the car's a bit dated and taken when I had BBS RSes on it. I was able to source the original 13-inchers, so the car's now back to bone stock. A more recent pic from Monterey Car Week:
