IHM-04 - Alpaca Lined N1 Deck Jacket - Olive, Black and Navy
-
If anyone is looking to sell an Olive or Navy in a medium, let me know I may be in the market for one.
-
Has anyone waxed this jacket? Would something like Barbour Thornproof Dressing work just fine b/c of the interlining? Or would I be risking the alpaca sopping up the wax?
I was thinking about trying the wax/heat gun method like Bandit did in his Mister Freedom N-1 waxing video. I think it would darken up the 'light' black of the jacket nicely and give me the additional weather protection.
-
Yeah, I waxed the N1, worked well - I used Barbour Thornproof. I did 2 coats, really soaked it up but the result was good. I used a heat gun and you will need to be careful with getting the heat blast too close as it will wisp up some smoke from the interlining.
PM me if you want to nerd it up with more details.

Will this one be back this year?
-
Hey G, if a xxxl navy happens to "appear" around there let me know. Long shot, i know. But some stuff has been known to "show up" in the past lol
-
If anybody wants to part with a L or Xl of any colour, PM me.
-
Don´t tell it your GF. In the event that your GF asks, tell her it´s mine
-
Thanks
-
Got a Navy L inboud (thanks to FurattoHeddo). Thanks for getting at me - now let's cross fingers that L will do it. As I can't do sports at the moment, I should fit in.
-
I think it will fit! Just a nice jacket in every color. Glad you did not get a black one
-
I loved the Navy right from the start. Got enough black stuff already
-
Now we need freakin cold weather!
-
Encouraging words, thank you! I tried one last year, but can't recall the size. I think it was an XL though and the narrow shoulders measurements could break it. We'll see.
-
I wish you luck that it fits and know what you are worried about. The pit to pit meassurement would be perfect for me on a L, but the shoulder meassurement is 1" less then what I normaly wear.
And congratulation for getting one in Navy. It is the best color for this kind of jacket in my opinion.
