I demoed the Indian Scout and came away thinking it was a cheap/crappy bike. The Chief on the other hand is a whole lot of motorcycle. Possibly the best V-Twin engine ever.
Oh that's a bit disappointing to hear about the Scout but good to hear the Chief was a winner - thanks for the info

Big hello to the IH guys in Austin! Hope the motorcycle enthusiasts amongst you make it and enjoy the GP races at COTA this afternoon. I’ll be watching it on TV…
@Clint_D , I’ll be looking for you in the crowd shots…PS- ask the mayor to fix the ripples in the pavement…

Some 28 odd years ago I was living and working in London for a couple of years - I'm an Aussie.
So while I worked to continue my travels, and of course being a fan of Easy Rider, I had a dream to ride across the states and end in New Orleans.
On my wall, I had a picture of an old Indian motorcycle and I attempted to put money aside each week to fund this adventure… unfortunately life got in the way.
Fast forward another 25 years and I have just put a deposit on this bad boy...
International travel is a long way off in Australia, but some long rides in this vast country are certainly on the cards
The windshield will be removed straight away Oh and I reckon that yellow crazy check UHF will look good on this ride

…that's a beaut!!!@Jase68

Many thanks @vaquero357 , @Jett129 . @Dmart - your ride is sweet mate!

Hey Iron Horse Heads
I'm looking for some recommendations on some good makers of retro motorcycle gloves - looking for quality up there with our beloved Iron Heart.
Any recommendations would be appreciated - I'm currently looking at Grifter. MTO is a possibility as I have big hands and short fingers LOL
Thanks in advance.

I got a pair of grifter years ago when they first came out. Nothing special about them. Are you looking for short gloves or more of a gauntlet?

I got the Hawkins gloves from Ship John and love them. Not sure they would hold up to a serious crash but I've already taken a small tumble in them and they kept my hands safe. And now they have some sweet road rash on them

Thanks fella,
@68degreesorless - I will check those out thanks, and hey as we both know a serious crash normally means a coffin, I reckon gloves are more for a bit of road rash
@Bfd70 - thanks for your response - I was actually looking for a pair of both short and gauntlets, summer wear
@Dmart - I think we have similar tastes - I was looking at the motostukers (sp?)
THanks again

@Jase68 seems so. I like the more old school chopper style compared to the clubstyle or anything else. I can really recommend the motostucka shanks. The are by no means protective if this is what you are looking for. I don’t want to start a discussion on safety gear, I believe everybody needs to make a descision for his own here. But, if you are all for the looks, you should give them a closer look. They are quite stiff in the beginning, but will soften with wear. Don’t order them too loose since they widen a bit as all leather will.

Thanks mate! I appreciate your input and suggestion
