EDC - What's In Your Pockets?
-
There's plenty of scenarios like that that can serve both sides of the argument, but what matters is a proven causal link, and I'm unaware of one. There's debate both ways but I've seen nothing that convinced me.
Ok, fair enough. I think the most scientific study (and really, social science is dodgy as it is) (apologies if you're a social scientist) I've seen was the one the CDC did a year or two ago that showed there is no direct relationship between the number of guns the amount of gun deaths (or something like that, basically, they couldn't show a causal relationship between the two)

Glad to hear your predecessor has been good to you.
Before the lights were made in bulk overseas, they were some of the best flashlights I had seen, and I used to have a good collection of Surefires at home
The only reason why I changed it up is because 30 mins with 120 lumens is just not enough by todays standards.
But honestly, up until a few years ago, I still used it for food manufacturer inspections. Never skipped a beat, except for that shitty battery life. Technology moved on
-
I am still on my first battery. I've been surprised.
-
Agreed. High low crennelated flood sounds nice. Thing is tiny!
-
This one does no abuse:
-
you guys talked about guns and in singapore we dont even have gun shops at all. the only guns i've used were in the military. rifles and snipers…

-
Nice, love your horseshoe ring Shane.
-
Thanks man. You could use a lucky ring this weekend with all the drinking you're gonna do, too bad you don't live closer. Have fun.
-
Just an average weekend in the life of a functioning alcoholic
(I'm not really a functioning alcoholic, I just like beer…....honest)
-
that's what they all say at AA gav.
-
So you admit you're not really functional?
-
^yep

Got myself an Elzetta Alpha with a standard bezel, flood lens, high low tail cap and slapped on a pocket clip. If you're on the fence on an EDC flashlight, this is THE ONE
I use mine every day (walking the dog in the park at night), and in fact, the day I got it, we had a blackout and it was great for those five hours. The low mode is perfect if you're sitting around having dinner while the lights or out or just having a conversation with someone, and the high was ideal for moving around the house and not stepping on one of the pets. I did wind up changing the batteries after awhile, but what do you expect from a light this small. I always favor a flood lens, and the 300 lumens doesn't blind you because it's evenly spread out
Jody has one too, in the same configuration
NB: not my pic
