To be fair, the specifications it gives means a lot to flashlight nerds, and they're impressive. The narrative for the light is a little the top, but personally I think making a flashlight out of a higher strength material than aluminum and plastic is for suckers so they're catering to that crowd.
Oveready has been around for awhile, and they do impressive work. They have a weaponlight that will fit in the palm of your hand that supposedly puts out more light than a flashlight the size of a toilet plunger. The mods they do is likened to putting a 700hp engine in a Jeep Wrangler. Nobody really does what they do, though admittedly the level of power their lights put out relative to the size approaches the realm of diminishing returns. I'm pretty sure some of the lights get as hot as the guns they're attached to.
I've been around flashlights for a long, long time (one of my best friends back in NYC used to work for Surefire), and nothing has impressed me as much as the Surefire Stiletto. For the first time in decades, I think there has been some real innovation and there is a true multifunction flashlight in a package that has no negatives in ergonomics. -

I didn't think you were being an asshole. Building a flashlight out of high strength materials like zirconium which is used in "industrial, aerospace, nuclear, blah blah blah" applications is pretentious bullshit. Like I said before, they're catering to suckers.
I've had a Surefire X300UB attached to the rail of my rifle for a couple years now. Basically it's clamped to the end of a baseball bat and gets whacked against wood, rocks, and dirt. When my rifle falls over it crashes on the flashlight into concrete. Not to mention the recoil and vibration it has to deal with.
Still works fine, and the flashlight is made out of 6061 aluminum, not even 7075 aluminum which is stronger.
The electronics on a flashlight will crap out long before you damage the body. -

Cool that makes more sense to me now. It's a tooth pick in a cork. Lol

My brother gave me this as a gift today. it's made by a builder named Jimmy Diresta (youtube channel tinkerer). Not sure it'll fit in the pockets, but it's damn cool.
