@Mizmazzle Beautiful boot that I’ve almost pulled the trigger on many times, but the thinsulate lining has held me back every time. My feet run warm and my worry is that the boot will end up being too hot for me.
I’ve even emailed Viberg to see if they make a pair without the lining and would do just leather….
They do not
-
@goosehd you know, I was a bit concerned about that too for summer hiking. We’ll have to see how that plays out. For winter it should be a nice addition. Lately I’ve just been using my Red Wing Mocs which have zero lining. Haha. Some mink oil and thick socks have done surprisingly well.

Hey guys
I also wrote on the general topic about boots but since I am very impressed about my viberg dark rubber Essex 2030 so I must show how they look after a week of intensive wearing
If someone need help for sizing they are size 11 and they are perfect for my 29,5 cm long foot. To compare my iron ranger are 11.5 D US size and my almost all sneakers are size 46 eu

Dang some heat just dropped at Viberg.
-
@mclaincausey you’ve got more experience with Viberg than me. It seems like even when they announce a new drop, those boots still don’t have a lot of the sizes in stock. Can’t quite figure out if I’m looking at a boot that been released for a while but sold out in certain sizes, or perhaps maybe they just didn’t make certain sizes in the current run?? I get all the updates via email and always check them out right away. But always a lot of sizes not available.
-
@Mizmazzle no idea. I would guess they don’t make every size but if you get the emails i don’t know of any other way of getting ahead of the curve.
-
@mclaincausey small batch runs.
I’ve got my eye out for a 2040 someday. Like that profile. -
@Mizmazzle this is interesting — I figured there was just a ton of hype and people were just immediately buying those sizes. It was putting me off, tbh haha... I don't like dealing with that shit, gotten enough of that in my life buying dumb guitar pedals. But, they definitely do have some killer boots. I like the sort of chunkier offerings. Less interested in the ones with the sort of thinner profile soles / flat waxes laces / seemingly lots of eyelets.
Those waxy commander ones, unfff.
-
@popvulture suppose it’s probably some combination of all these factors. Makes it hard to zone in on a boot and just get it. But then, I guess it’s rather cool that there won’t be a lot of boots you’d end up with walking down the street.
I agree about the slim profile boots. Not my style. I love the 310 and think the 2040 looks rather cool as well. The last on my Pachena Bay hikers is nice and open too similar to the 310. Nice to have some toe wiggle room.

@Rangadello Awesome boots! I have the exact pair and really like mine.
-
@Rangadello isn’t Viberg incredible?? Love that leather.
-
@Mizmazzle totally... the quality is next level.

Viberg x RnH 1035 Maryam grey calf leather. Super soft leather, very comfortable boots with minimal break in time.
