Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

^you love your Spyderco
I actually used to really dislike the way Spydercos looked (actually, still kind of do), until I got a Persistence and an Ambitious a couple months ago for our two cars (to put into the emergency kits). At 30 bucks a piece, hard to go wrong, right?
Was really impressed with the build quality and THAT EDGE. With a stropped edge, competes with some of my full custom knives
My son bought me one of these for Christmas
It's really unusual I get knocked on my ass with the quality of a knife, but this one has done it at 1/4 the price of a Sebenza

It's a great knife for $50. If you're in the States, Howe's knife shop has them in black at a very good price with free shipping
It's great for pocket carry, very light, and the ergos (while the knife isn't pretty) is spot on
The edge was uneven though, I had to reprofile (the back was at a shallower angle than the tip). Bugged me

Dang sahn!!!!

Sebenza is obviously easier to open but, the Mnandi opens very easily. My biggest issue is I have very large hands but, I can easily open it with one hand. It is significantly smaller than the small sebi. However it is no slouch very very sturdy!!!

My son has a full size Griptilian that I've used and I have a Delica. They're both very light. His Griptilian has 154CM and my Delica has VG10 steel. I like them both very much. I feel that the Griptilian holds an edge longer, but it's not as sharp. That's probably due in part to the full flat grind on the Delica. The Delica has a thinner tip though, if you're worried about breaking it off. I don't pry with my knife so I don't worry about that.
Both the Griptilian we have at home and the Delica has the hole opener, which is pretty awesome
For me, I favor the Delica because I really don't like the Axis lock. I think it's a pain in the ass to unlock, and I can see all kinds of crap getting stuck in there when I work in the yard
Really, you should try to get your hands on both and see which one you favor. They're both classics for a reason

Neither one of them is particularly fast. You can open the griptilian with a wrist flick though. Can't with a delica. I don't know about the mini grip, but the delica pretty much disappears in the pocket, whereas the griptilian is thicker and you know it's there
I think it's safe to say if you use your knife a lot, the griptilian is more comfortable in hand, but the delica is more comfortable to carry. You don't know it's there until you need it
