DWC - Denim World Championships 2015 - 2017
-
I just entered the Denim Tux division - I'm going to wear:
Flat Head 7002W shirt: Size 40, unsanforized 12.5 oz western shirt with sawtooth pockets and pearl snaps. Great fit, classic details, versatile design (easy to wear over and under other stuff.)
Flat Head 2111 jeans: Size 32, unsanforized 20 oz. denim. Classic anti-fit top block with a great taper from thigh to hem.

Nice one Kyle
Just a reminder that if you register for any competition I have to manually approve your order before you're able to view the forums. This is a security measure to keep spam accounts from accessing the forum, I always approve orders within 12 hours of receipt.

Great to have you on board, and a nice choice there man.

Good choice, the guy is going to be a star.
Zace is a great guy he is in business as jeanmaker more than ten years now as far i can recall. After we followed each other on IG for quite some time I had the honour of meeting him personally some weeks ago and talking about his fantastic story and Vision and touching his stuff. Really really great. He is an impressive character. We will meet again soon hopefully and cant wait seeing him. Such a good guy.
@jdl1279 great choice -
Thanks guys…had been chatting with him a bit and digging his ethos and products/design eye. I had been discussing DWC with him, asking if he had anyone repping his stuff, and he offered to build something so unique and intriguing I couldn't resist. Really like bringing something different in and if it at all spreads awareness of his brand it's a nice bonus. It also handles my desire for something truly American made.

I'm entered in middleweight (18oz IH 634 indigo weft) and boots (black calfskin Viberg service boots. 2030 and Dainite, ironically enough)
-
Zace?
-
Zach Myers, he owns a brand called Zace USA and makes a range of workwear in Ohio, sewn by Amish families. I've just done an interview with him for Denimhunters, really nice dude and I think his brand are a standout at the moment from most of the smaller brands.

I saw his IG, zaceusa and have been following him for about a month. Seems like a pretty cool guy and brand.

FAQ's
Q1. I have changed my mind about the jeans which I want to use for the contest, the jeans which I am now using are in a different weight category, what should I do?
Just let us know. If you have not begun your own thread over on the DWC forum then no action will be required. If you have then one of the DWC team will either close, move or delete your original thread as appropriate.
Q2. I entered into a weight category, but when I have soaked my jeans the denim weight increases and pushes them up into the next weight class, what should I do?
It is important to note that all category weight classes are POST soak, as this will be their wearing weight and it brings them back in line with their one washed or sanforised equivalents. For everything else just follow the answer from Q1.
Q3. When can I begin wearing my jeans/ shirt/ jacket/ boots?
Everyone is allowed 30 amnesty wears prior to the competition. You can do whatever you like with your amnesty wears, if you want to climb a mountain go ahead ! As a two year contest there will be plenty of time for everyone else to climb mountains, and don’t forget that the contest is based around aesthetics, not “how quickly can I trash my jeans”.
Q4. I registered for the contest but I cannot access the forum, what is wrong?
Nothing is wrong, we have to approve each order manually to prevent spam accounts gaining access to the forum. This will always be done within 12 hours of registration.
Q5. Why do I have to pay to register for the contest?
The contest is presented this time on a web based platform, funds are directed towards paying for this, associated design costs, anyone’s time taken in assisting with working on the contest and the rest will be put back into prizes for competitors. The contest is not run for profit, far from it, but those organising it are regular working guys and unfortunately we do not have the means to fund this ourselves.
Q6. Will there be any parties or meet ups?
Never say never but we (more specifically Megatron/ Gav) did not want to over promise and under deliver with specific regards to this element as it was a huge regret from HWDC2, therefore we will not rule it out but nothing is currently planned. Preliminary discussions were held with Vater & Sohn in Hamburg for a launch party, but this will not be possible due to time and funding constraints. If the contest finds itself in a position to fund and host a party at any stage then of course we will, we love a party.
Q7. What does the winner get?
The winner of the DWC stands to get a denim shopping spree in excess of £1200 provided by the contest and our generous sponsors. Different contests, such as the boot contest, have different prizes. Full details on prizes and judges can be found here…. http://denimworldchampionship.com/dwc-full-prize-and-judges-announcement/

Fit pic of my DTWC outfit - I really like how these look together. This shirt rules.
-
A similar pic to that, once a month in that exact spot and pose would make a great evo album Kyle.
-
That's just what I was thinking of doing Mega - I'd probably take font and back pictures, though.
