I'll start.. Here are my White's smooth brown BHs when I got them just before Christmas'14..
Wore them 4-5 times a week since. Just used a small amount of LP at the beginning. But have only cleaned them with a damp cloth and brushed them after. I did use some edge dressing to darken the edges.
This is what they look like now.

**Firstly, my apologies for the delay in announcing the winner, we now have all the judges thoughts in and it’s time.
The first boot contest was a hastily arranged affair, but remarkably well supported considering the short notice and the expense of investing in quality footwear. My sincere thanks to those who have kept the faith and supported the contest with updates of some incredible footwear.
Along with denim, leather is the most amazing material to see evolve and I think it’s fair to say that it evolves better and (for the purposes of the contest), faster on our feet than anywhere else. The sheer variety of leather variants leads to some immensely diverse results, and the footwear we have seen through the contest has shown exactly this.
The contest was more than about putting miles on your boots though, it was also about boot care and the time and money you invest in taking care of your footwear. We devote so much time and so many words to discussing washing and soaking denim in comparison to looking after our boots and shoes, and maybe this is because the process is infinitely more complex and personal than with jeans for some, others take the approach of wipe, brush and leave them well alone. It has been interesting to me to see the different care regimes at work, and looking at how it affect, or doesn’t, on the footwear.
For those of you who did not get a chance to participate in the first BWC, but wish you had, let me remind you that the second contest is running right now as part of the DWC (Denim World Championships), and can be accessed via the website www.denimworldchampionship.com
Finally, my sincere thanks to our contest sponsors Baker Shoes and White’s Boots for their support in getting so many great boots into the hands of contestants, and at such a fantastic discount, amazing support. Also to our prize sponsors at Sagara Shoes who will be honouring their prize commitment to the winner.
So without further delay, the winner of the initial BWC is…….
LOUIS BOSCO
Congratulations, please get in touch and I will hook you up with your prize.**
