White's Boots
-
So, I've been thinking all along that I would be ordering some configuration of the Semi-Dress, but now I am wondering if I should consider also the 6" Farmer Rancher. I like the extra leather heel cap (or whatever that piece is called at the back of the boot) and the generally more rugged look. I had in mind that the Farmer Rancher or Smokejumper would be taller than I want, but I see they are available in 6", and that's actually what my current Chippewas are - though for some reason the FR and SJ have more eyelets.
Anyway, can anyone (1) post a picture of SDs and FR back to back in order to compare height; or (2) testify to the feel of a 6" FR in comparison to the SD? Does it feel much higher on the leg? Is the fit and comfort more or less the same?
Thanks!

Hi all,
Hope all are well in IH land. Just got my stock order in. Not the most adventurous but a good mix. 5 Styles and 5 sizes in each. Any with a Smoke Jumper-esque heel counter comes with 2 sets of laces and the lace to toe leather insert. They will be up on the EastWestApparel website which will open in a couple of weeks at which time the Build a Boot option will also be available and of course before if you'd be interested.
The quality is amazing as all you White's wearers can surely already vouch for I'm sure.
Excuse the crap pic quality, the website will be a darn site better.
Cheers for now,
Jamie.

Nice one, Jamie.
FYI: I've got a local (WSM) mate that does some photography if you needed someone with more camera kit.
Cheers Hectic, one both fronts, I'm investing and experimenting over the next couple of weeks. If it all goes to woop I'll be very grateful for any input.
Cheers. J.
