White's Boots

Can anyone speak to the advantages of a Smoke Jumper versus Bounty Hunter and vice versa (ie: standard last vs semi dress)? I'm sure the differences are minimal and subjective at best, but I'm having a tough time deciding which to get. From my understanding the main thing is more room above the toe box etc. on SJ's.
Example:
Smoke Jumper: http://store.whw.jp/?pid=41993162
Bounty Hunter: http://store.whw.jp/?pid=47912275I'm leaning towards straight up Smoke Jumpers on a 6 inch height, much like the first pair in black above. However why the popularity towards Bounty Hunters? Is it just the cleaner lines, slimmer profile? Sorry, I know this question gets asked a lot

Thanks tigerpac, I tend to like the fuller/more "bulbous" look of the SJ's and the build on the Warehouse site I linked to is increasingly becoming my "grail" pair (heck, they ARE my grail pair). It should help round out my collection too as I have Farmer Rancher's with a flatter soft toe. Just need the 6 inch SJs, a pair of SD's and Roughout SJ's and I'll be content…

I've seen that before too, but can't recall where.
I have SD/BH, 461 and SJ, and the biggest difference is the SJ is more square. I mean they are all clearly work boots but I guess you could say the SJ looks more like a construction boot (or of course a fire-fighter's boot) vs. something you'd see on a farm.
My Uncle was a farmer before he passed and he always wore Knapp boots which are very similar to the BH. He always had two pairs, one for work and one for "dress" - only shoes I ever recall seeing him wear. When the "work" pair wore out he'd buy a new pair and those would become his dress boots.

Not as red as I thought, I like!
Next boot will be a White´s Cougar for the spring, just waiting for the paycheck -
Hey Bluegrass, it´s the Red Dog Rought Out The Harvest Rough Out is a little thinner, so I choose the Red Dog, because they gonna be my new Winter shitkickers. That is the reason why I wanna wax em at the weekend. And Yes, it´s a Red Dog Smooth tongue
Like your love for blue laces! -
Gorgeous boots JCM, congrats on a fine pair!

Funny, you never really know what they will look like until you open that box - I've seen other pics of red dog roughout that look quite different - and I would not have guessed that the various roughout leathers were different thicknesses - although I have heard that desert storm roughout has to be sold with a liner. Love that pop of color from the red tongue.

Reds look nice. Def more pale then i would have expected but i am excited to see em waxed. Get on it and post some pics!

My pair looks similar, but my old digicam has a crappy flash.
