Thanks guys and yes Chicken thinks the whole denim and boot thing is a big distraction from more fun activities like going for walks, sleeping, eating, and making love to couch cushions.
@SKT this is my second pair of whites and the first, a semidress, did have a liner while these smokejumper/350 cutters are unlined. As you say unlined does make them lighter, also maybe easier to break in, and less durable over time? Don't know yet about the long term durability but with one less leather of leather that would be my suspicion. For comfort I am pleased these are unlined.

Yes they are![emoji3590] and yes : “…we can beat you!”
But no foul language towards the Norwegian winter after 17 winters here my dear Jens!
I don't count in years but in winter[emoji119] Note[emoji6]
After several emergency visits to orthopedic departments here, I tend to address this beautiful winter bitch with respect![emoji4][emoji57]Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk

That's a nice pair @Matt there's also a few custom Ramblers that Nepenthes NY did that look pretty good.

Yeah their special make up looks great. The here are some nice images of the worn in waxed flesh. Seems like it takes awhile but once you have really beat them up they'll look amazing, with the nap coming out and the tea core shining through too. I have enquired about a rambler with horsehide.

I just got off the phone with DR, they called to double check my sizing. That’s nice. However, the sizing could be an issue. @hajduk @Nkwkfld @Chap dobuou guys mind providing some perspective?
My Red Wing 875s are 9.5 as were my Wesco Jobmasters. In sneakers I’m a 10 except for Nikes which I size up to 10.5 and Chuck Taylors where I size down to 9.5. How do you guys size?
Lauren said based in my preference for a roomy for she recommended a 9 (which they don’t have of course) but ultimately she thought 8.5 would be my perfect fit.

I am WB Smokejumpers 8.5 D and Wesco Jobmaster 9D. Which would be that half size down from Wesco to White's. However WB tends to be a bit inconsistent in sizing from my experience. If it works for you the arch support with White's is fantastic. If you have a low arch you might have a problem…

@Matt do you know your brannock size? Some (many in the Stitchdown Discord) argue that this standard method is the best way of having a benchmark. It's important to measure heel to toe and heel to ball as well as width using the sliders. Then for whites 55 people usually go a half size down and a width up. For example on brannock I measure 10 heel to toe and 10.5 heel to ball, at right between D and E width. My White's are a 10D and the fit is pretty spot on. Another bit of information I can parrot from the Stitchdown Discord, which is made up of people who are to boots what we are to Iron Heart here, is that Division Road's and many other heritage retailers incl. Red Wing give bad sizing advice to go much too small. The whole thing about boots stretching is a myth, and the better approach is that they should feel comfortable right away, and if they're a bit too big you can always fill up space with thicker socks or an insole. I would Brannock if you can, and if not go with that same 9.5 as your Wesco/RW. Remember also that the 55 last has a high classic work boot arch, so is going to spread your foot in a different way. I find it comfortable but definitely different from other boots.
