Iron Chef WAYCT - What Are You Cooking Today

I thought it was, "more awesomeness". Seriously, I love paella.
-
The only thing I like from Spain besides its women, is Ibanez, who made the 'Paling en Ko' comics:

Sorry Seul.
This is a good thing from Spain: http://www.jamon.com/shopiberico.html

Today was another simple meal for us- chili. I live in Texas, where there is a very strict perception of what chili is, but I don't really like Texas style chili. I use our family recipe, instead. Pretty basic, but really tasty.
Start by browning some ground meat (Mom uses beef, I use turkey).
Sweat some chopped celery and red onion,
Add some red kidney beans, tomato soup and spices, then let simmer for about 4 hours. When it cooks down to a brown-orange color and a nice thick consistency, it's ready to eat.
Oh, and two things,
- Seul- there have to be other things from Spain that you like. C'mon, I've seen you wearing espadrilles; they're from Spain.
- Hectic- I'm with you, jamon iberico is amazing stuff.
-
what is the plural of paella
@Geo:
paellas
I thought it was "More of that crap"?..
Hehehe, this made me giggle
I know lots of people adore paella, I'm not a fan (especially if it includes squid/octopus - sorry, I can't eat anything with tentacles which has made Japan a challenge on occasions) :o
-
Mmmm, tentacles…
-
don't go messing up that new physique with all them good eats

this is one of my weekly meals. get it going, throw some heat-mats between the gas and the pot, simmer that baby down. a good pot will last me a few days of meals (and constant snackin)
