The Real McCoys

More pics, Quality isn't too hot (taken on an iPhone)
Over all I couldn't be more pleased with this amazing shirt! In my opinion the cut and shape of the shirt is fantastic, pretty short in the body Which I like and the size is spot on for layering which is the whole reason I bought it,
The wool is so thick and warm, I had a bout 2 miles to walk this morning to work and it's down to -2 here, I had a t-shirt, Cabourn Roll neck and this on top and was as warm as toast walking in!
i got this bad boy in red. its lush; heavy wool that is thicker than a filson jacket so expecting it to be very warm in the winter.
my only gripe is that the buttons seem a little small given the sheer thickness of the wool.
perhaps things will loosen up over time but they are a little fiddly to button up.

Taking the chance to show off my A-2 Flight Jacket that I got from The Real McCoys this past year. Cut from their new leather, the quality of the 2013 A-2s is impeccable and unbeatable. Buttery good.

that jacket is superb. nice one.
-
Beautiful jacket. Looks better with the collar down, imho.
Ditto… Not big on popped collars in general.
-
i have recently become obsessed with that A2… thinkingn this maybe my next purchase

i bought that A2 10 days ago. Quality is stunning! It wasn't my target, cause of the price… i tried on some Aero's and Alexander Leathers and at last that Real McCoy. So, i had to adjust my budget. I've found the leather much nicer, feels like more natural and it hasn't that "glossy" shine like the others.
Excuse my english, i'm german speaking. -
Thanks for the info! I almost asked if anyone had a comparison between aero and alexander, is rather pay the price once than buy something and be unhappy later down the road and then end up purchasing what I should have got the first time! Appreciate lt greatly mate.

Superdenim (the distributor in Europe) are currently taking preorders for F/W13. I got an email today.
You can go through the catalogue and email them and they will get you a price. 50% down the rest payable upon arrival.
I'm afraid to look… too many goodies

yeah deck jacket looks great. I'm definetly going for a CPO at least as above in red I think. Not sure on sizing though, PM'd other members but no response, anybody got any feedback? not much of a buyer of upper body items by McCoy as my experience is they are way way too slim for my kinda average height/weight. sleeves are way too long on items that fit me around the chest. I'd go for the deck too but funds won't permit so…

yeah agreed if you have the budget, Eastman for me have always done the best version of the A2 . iIt ain't flashy but for the nerds historically very correct. I'm sure McCoys is off the scale , but you need off the scale funds to pay for it. I struggled to pay the 600 GBP for my Eastman tbh, as much morally as financially, I think paying so much for clothes is a bit dubious. regardless it's just an opinion, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years.

fit of the A2 is great but lose the popped collar
I sold my Buzz N1 deck jacket because I was so impressed with the quality of the RMC version. Still haven't gotten around to buying one though; they are sold out every season
I really like that blue (wool with leather patches) sports jacket

Great choice Rafa! I had an eye on them several weeks/months ago. Size 34 I assume? What did they set you back?

yes, size 34 mate…they retail for 329CHF at VMC!
the waist is like 2inches too big, but the thighs are good...so hopefully they don't shrink too much!
also tried a washed pair in 36 but were a tad too big, so i think the 34 should be right up my alley after a gentle soak/wash. -
That price is A LOT better than I thought (considering import stuff, and especially Swiss prices )
Gonne check them out in 2-3 weeks when I probably go to Zurich
