Time For a New Jeans Cut….

Too true
I fully agree that pockets that are too deep are also problematic, as pillowPANTS pointed out, watch bands can get hung up on the top of the pocket opening, and you can't even reach the bottom (and I rarely wear a watch).

I have a pair of Strike Gold and those pockets are silly deep. I find it annoying. My watch or bracelet gets caught on the pocket opening while trying to dig for change. IH depth seems to be spot on. As for the width of opening tho? Id like them a bit wider personally. My hands JUST make it in and with my knife being there too, i have to struggle to get my hand in.
Maybe i just have too big of hands? Idk lolI'm in this camp. I don't put anything in my pockets, but that is because I can barely get my hands in them. I find this is only the case with my 634 and 666. I'm able to use (and do) the pockets in my chinos (every iteration).

Horses for courses, I use my front pockets less now as I usually keep my phone in a hoodie or shirt pocket, but in the past I always kept in my left front jeans pocket. The phone fade hate is something I don't subscribe to, wabi sabi mother flunkers

Yea I like my combs in the front, so I had my knees surgically reversed.

Despite being one of the guys to bring up the 1955S shallow pocket thing, I do own one pair from another brand with stupidly big pockets, that genuinely have the capacity to swallow up an iPad. A friggin iPad. Even I don't subscribe to this giant pocket phenomenon…
Minus that pair and the 1955S, the rest vastly conform to a standard depth, but some odd shapes.
EDIT: The super-deep pair would be Gap or Next, the only two brands on the UK high street kind enough to provide jeans that (kinda) fit me

I swear to God! When I get back home (I'm on the Welsh border to see my better half's family) I'll take a pic to prove it

BOOM!! Feels like this has taken forever!!

So what happens now? They get shipped to you and if you are happy the GO GO button gets pushed?
-
Tom measures them, sends them to me, I measure them. I'll send them to Gav, he'll try them on. We'll chat. If they need small tweaks (probable), we'll refine and go into production, if they require major changes (possible), we'll run a second sample and repeat the process….

I'll compare them against the 666, 777, Busters and the 21oz Pronto collab for fit and report back to G.
