Those look fantastic. Mine are not nearly that far along yet and I've been on them 7 months lol.
This is such a great denim, I can't believe it doesn't get the love it deserves here.

They look great! Thanks Giles and Sam. I'm so glad I have a pair of these, it's a great denim with lots of character and obviously great fading potential. And it breathes well, so it's very wearable on hot summer days.

wow. vintage looks great.

This is definitely my favourite fabric of any denim I have, regardless of brand. My pair are only just starting to show a little fading, not photo-worthy (yet.) They haven’t gotten the wear they deserve since the fit has been a bit off in the top block for me compared with the 777. Last night I took a chance and washed them on hot with no spin + extra rinse, then hang-dried upside-down. This morning the fit is spot on and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Jesus tapdancing christ those are evolving nicely.

After getting the 177 made from this denim,I knew it was a matter of time before I got the jeans. Thanks @Alex for finding the 37 waist for me,they fit perfectly. These are my first pair of 666s,and for me are what the 888s are to a lot of the other guys. Initially they remind me of Old School Levis shrink to fit 501s,from the late 70s,when they were good. Hopefully over the weekend I’ll get some pictures up.

I think these will be really great for riding during the warmer months, and be pretty easy to wear chaps over when it’s chilly in the AM. Also the cut with a little extra thigh and knee room will be more comfortable sitting on the bike for long periods of time. The denim on the 177 feels more substantial, tougher for lack of a better word. They’re very close in color. When cuffed and worn with Wescos, you get that 50s biker kind of look. My question is.-If I were to get the 18OZ raw denim and wash them at home would it ever actually be the same as the factory one wash?

These landed this week and I soaked them and left them to dry before leaving town until last night.
This is a Hall of Fame denim. The 21 will always be special to me, but I love this slubby, hairy, rough, neppy denim and that it is stitched together in tank-like fashion. Perfect combination of denim with character, but also with durability. I've had some great denim in terms of one or the other, but this promises to kill it in both categories.
Kudos to Haraki-san for another masterpiece.

One of the many great things about this denim is how breathable it is for 18oz. I wore mine more during the summer here in Phoenix more than I did my 14oz.
